A must-have for any coffee setup, even at your mother's house.
I keep this one at my mother's house because I must have a scale everywhere I brew. It's compact, reliable, and does exactly what it's supposed to—measure coffee with precision. The built-in timer is a nice touch, ensuring consistency in every cup. Pros: Compact Design: Fits easily under most espresso machines, making it perfect for travel or secondary setups. Precision: Measures in 0.1g increments, which is essential for dialing in espresso shots. Built-in Timer: Helps maintain consistency in brewing times. Affordable: Doesn't break the bank, yet performs admirably. Cons: Build Quality: It's lightweight, which is great for portability, but it doesn't feel as sturdy as some higher-end models. Battery Operated: Uses AAA batteries; a rechargeable option would be more convenient. In summary, the Weightman Espresso Scale with Timer is a solid choice for anyone needing a reliable, portable scale. It's not the most luxurious option out there, but it gets the job done without fuss. Perfect for ensuring your coffee game is on point, even when visiting family.

Great coffee scale! Perfect for Aeropress and travel!
Great little travel coffee scale! The scale looks very compact, but can fit a standard coffee cup. The clear cover protects the scale during travel. Physical buttons are straight forward and easy to use. I tested the scale against my kitchen scale and another travel scale that I was considering. The weight on this scale was accurate matched the weight of my kitchen scale. It also features a timer function which is helpful for use with my Aeropress recipes.

Very affordable small scale. Perfect for weighing coffee beans.
I use this scale for measuring coffee beans several times each morning. It isn't fancy, but is small and good for travel and is very affordable. It seems to be pretty accurate. It was a good purchase.

A worthwhile and accurate small
This is a pretty good scale that is more accurate than the other little scales in its Amazon price range. I use it to weight coffee beans prior to grinding. I like it better than another less accurate scale of similar size that I also bought on amazon as its functions are more solid and accurate with values that do not bounce-around. It is really not a complete coffee scale as it has no timer function so there are better options if you are ready to”feed the bear” 😜 in order to find a reliable one with that additional function. I took off one star because the pathetic tiny hinges that retain its clear integral plastic cover are guaranteed to break, though this is not necessarily a bad thing as the cover can then be used as a base on which to place small items for weighing.

Travel friendly and easy to use
This is an excellent scale for brewing coffee while traveling. It’s small, protected by a cover, and works reliably. The screen is readable and the buttons are pleasant to click. It wipes off for easy cleaning. It’s a little slow to update the measured weight but still very usable for precise pour over brewing needs. I like the color scheme and easy to toss in a pocket or bag design.

Great little coffee scale with a couple of caveats
I bought it originally after my Timemore Black Mirror started working erratically, fluctuating even when nothing was on it. I came across this model on a video from The Coffee Chronicler, who recommended it for travel use due to its size and hinging cover which prevents the scale from being damaged. Since I did not want to buy one scale for each use, I decided to give this one a try. It works very well so far with a couple of caveats, which might or might not apply to you. Firstly, it is a 1,000 gram scale, which means I exceed its capacity when I prepare coffee for two with my Hario Switch #3, which is made of glass and hence heavier than a usual V60. The scale basically errors out when it gets to around that weight, even after taring each step of course. Secondly, the timer has a 10 min maximum, again something that will not affect most people. When you arrive at the 10 min mark, the timer basically starts over. I mention it because in my case (and the only reason why I noticed this quirk) I usually make a recipe with my Switch that I adapted from Jonathan Gagné's Aeropress recipe, which has ~10 min brew time. I have been using it for about 3 weeks and I am very happy so far. I am taking it, along with my Aeropress on my first trip, so hopefully it will fare well. I recommend this for someone who needs a small scale that can serve multiple uses for travel and home.
