works great on 12awg
There are no instructions, but the connection isn't too complicated. For the female end, remove the red rubber stopper, push both wires through the holes, then push the wires through the female housing. Crimp the connectors and pull them back into the housing (so they snap in from the front). Then push the rubber stopper down the wires into the connector housing. For the male end, thread the two wires through the black rubber stopper, crimp the male connectors onto the wires, then flip it over so the open part of the crimp connector is facing up. Lay the gray wire spacer on top of the two wires so the neck is just below the crimp connector. Push the whole 3 pronged apparatus into the male housing until you hear the click. Finally push the black rubber stopper into the back of the male housing. They appear very sturdy and after testing, I had no issues with current limitations. Very happy with the purchase.

Easy as an old school lego build
Apparently most the reviewers of this item have never played with legos or any type of coffee table nik-nak puzzle growing up. If you need directions for this then you probably should let someone else do the work!I found this item to be exactly what I needed. I have a 10awg cable powering the fuel cell on my company truck. Previous plug was not marine grade and thus water was an issue. This plug will do an amazing job by the way it feels. No soldering and no real hassle to put it together. Can be a little finicky but that is due to how tight the build is. I will recommend my boss to get more on the other cells and any outdoor plug application.

A trick for using with 10 guage wire!!
This connector is well made and probably a true no brainer for 12 guage wire. But 10 guage holds a few challenges. While looking at the size of the holes in the rubber grommets that seal up the male and female sides, it was clear that something was needed to assist in getting through. I took the pointed top off of a mechanical pencil, put it on the end of the 10 ga wire, put a small dab of lube (olive oil was the closest at the time) on the tip and pushed it right through the grommet. Easy peasy. I'm trying to figure out a way to post a picture here, but there doesn't seem to be an access point. Also, I soldered the connectors on instead of leaving the crimp to hold it. With the silicone high temp wire, no deformation of the insulation was noted.

Made to be disposable, set you up for failure.
I should've read the other reviews first. It does not come with instructions. Simple enough, I thought... All decent automotive connectors are serviceable: These are not. The female coupler requires you to insert the wires through the connector before crimping the connectors on. There is no way to replace the plastic coupler without cutting off the metal connectors, and no spares are provided. Save your money and buy a Deustch connector instead.it's like the manufacturer/seller wants you to screw up and buy another kit. The stock photos literally show pre-crimped connectors which you would not be able to insert into the plastic coupler...Bad design aside, the connector does seem weatherproof.

nice kit, not so great for 10awg
The terminals included are pretty small for 10 gauge wire. 12 might fit but the insulation for 10 gauge is too thick to fit into the strain relief ears on the terminal.

no instructions
the connector came without instructions. I was able to figure it out but only after taking it apart.the shorter part is the tricky one because you have to feed the wire though the connector before crimping the metal part.

Tight fit for 10 awg
Used this for a 48VDC refrigerator connector - quality connector but tight for 10 awg copper stranded, I thought it was not going to fit but did with a little extra exertion. Thank you for putting photos to help with assembly.

No instructions at all
Does not have any instructions or web page on how to put together. Not as easy as looking at it and knowing how the metal solder links fit what side or which one. Probably not bad if you already know.
