cardboard applicator = better for environment
Why is it getting so hard to find the cardboard applicator tampons? I hate the thought of millions of plastic tampon applicators littering our planet and never biodegrading. So that's why I buy these cardboard ones. And they work great. I tried a generic drugstore brand version from a drugstore beginning with "W" and they were awful - they hurt going in (sorry TMI), I guess because of sharp edges - so I'm sticking to Tampax brand from now on.

Best ever tampon
Love the regular tampax tampons. Stores do not carry them, so I have to get them here. Thankful I can buy them in larger quantities than I used to be able to in stores.

Tried & True
Sometimes “basic” is the best. I have a very heavy flow & these tampons serve my menstruational needs. I especially like that the applicator is cardboard & therefore biodegradable & I also like the leak-guard feature; it has saved me many times.

My go-to tampons.
I am not a fan of Tampax Pearl. They have plastic applicators (not biodegradable or flushable) and they don't quite work. By that, I mean they somehow manage to leak without absorbing properly. By contrast, these regular Tampax have all paper/cardboard applicators (and wrappers.) They also don't leak prematurely. They absorb fully. These are the best tampons I've used.

Cardboard applicator- not single use plastic!
I’m always looking for tampons with cardboard applicators- not single use plastic ones. My daughters won’t use cups or reusable pads. Please continue to make cardboard applicators, not plastic ones!

Received 1 box instead of 4
I have sent a message also and hoping this problem is solved easily and quickly. I received my order today with only one box of 20 instead of the listed 4 boxes. $23 for 20 tampons. If the problem is resolved I will come back and update this review.

You know what it is, you either like cardboard or you don't
Why can't we find these in stores anymore????? It's ridiculous everything has gone to plastic in a time when we're supposedly so much more ecofriendly. Ugh. I hate the pearl products and haven't been able to find these old reliable cardboard applicator tampons anywhere until trusting good old Amazon for yet another product. I only wish they weren't so expensive.

Cardboard is the best
Cardboard is so much better than the new plastic - these absorb well with minimal leaks. These work much better than the plastic ....

Will not be purchasing these again as it was only a single box of 20 and not 4 boxes of 20 as per the listing

The listing said pack of four. Only received one pack

The listing said pack of four. I got one pack. Making them the most expensive tampons I’ve ever bought in my adult life.

The ad clearly says a box of 4. I received one (1) 20 count box.
