MiLocks DF-02SN Electronic Keyless Entry Touchpad Deadbolt Door Lock

These locks make it easy for multiple family members living in the house. Don’t have to worry about issuing keys to everyone. They are very convenient, easy to install with the instructions included and good quality.

The lock was easy to install, but the keyless entry (keypad) mechanism did not work. I have another keyless door knob from MiLocks that works well so sent an email to the company explaining the problem. Did not get a response, but 3 days later received a replacement for the inside lock (the part that holds the batteries). Installed it and the it works great. Overall, very easy to install, easy to operate, feels heavy duty, works as advertised, and excellent customer service although the communication could be better. As mentioned, this is my second MiLocks keyless entry and we're happy with the price and quality of the product. This deadbolt door lock was used to replace a top rated keyless Schlage deadbolt that we could never get to work despite costing much more.

This product worked fine for a couple of months, but then it started not working correctly. The deadbolt doesn't retract completely when unlocking which keeps me from coming in without a key. The return window was closed. I contacted the company, heard nothing. I did some research and found a trouble-shooting guide, and went through the steps. Still doesn't work correctly. Then Amazon opened a case, which was closed the next day. I would not recommend this product or company.

This wasnt hard to install if you're a reliable do it yourselfer. And it worked well for over six years. But now the deadbolt wont fully retract when extended, and wont fully extend when retracted. So its pretty useless. Still, I think it was a good purchase for the price.

First, this is my 3rd lock for them and I purchased the antique brass and found Milocks by accident as the other companies did not make the antique brass lock I was looking for. Very simple to install and works well in every case I installed this lock. I am blown away by the level of support and their standing behind their warranty. I bought a returned one from Amazon and Amazon did a poor job of checking the product before putting it back out for sale. I had an issue and MiLock stood behind their product and sent me what I needed with no questions and without grilling me with a thousand questions. They shipped what I needed so fast it arrived before I even expected it. Rarely do you find a company on Amazon that takes care of there customers but MiLock is one of those rare companies

Just what we wanted! We did have a man install it. We bought it in 2023, but this spring 2025, I couldn't get it to open. I charged the batteries and still it would not open. I pushed the lock very hard back and it opened and is fine now. I did chip out the tongue/bore hole entirely as some wood was still in the groove. I also tightened the screws on both sides of the bolt area. Things do expand when the weather warms.

I have ordered and installed 2 of these units, specifically because the buttons have letters too (like a phone keypad), so a code can be a word rather than just a number. This kind of works, although in practice the letters are too small for my old eyes, so it is difficult to read them well enough to enter the desired word. Installation has a few tricks: 1. You are asked to select between right-hand and left-hand based on which side the hinges are on, but of course that depends on which side of the door you are on! They mean when you are on the side of the door which will have the keypad. 2. They don't explain how to adjust the latch backset (between 2 3/8" or 2 3/4"). Turns out there's a little hole, and sticking partially through is a little nubby -- press the nubby in with a screwdriver (or whatever -- it's hard to do), and then the interior mechanism will slide between the 2 sizes. 3. The back mounting plate is not symmetrical, and so will look different depending on which side of the door it is on. This is OK, except that the Step 5 picture shows the notch pointing to the edge of the door regardless of which side of the door it is on, which is wrong, and thus confusing. 4. The battery cover on the second unit was REALLY hard to remove -- much worse than the first unit, which was also somewhat hard. Keep in mind that you may need to make adjustments to the strike plate, etc, so that the deadbolt has an unencumbered entry into its hole. Otherwise it will take 2 hands to lock the door -- one hand to hold the door in the right position for the deadbolt to move properly, and the other hand to push the Lock button. There is one thing I worry about re operation: the knob is quite hard to turn -- just by itself, before even connecting it to the deadbolt mechanism. This means the batteries must work extra hard to lock/unlock the door, thus presumably shortening the lives of the batteries.

We live in a fairly harsh weather environment here in Maine. One of these locks also takes a beating by facing south into the sun pretty much year round. Nevertheless the front-door lock looks and works great. They seem to have achieved a very smooth internal mechanism that easily locks and unlocks without grinding or binding at all. If you already have removed a deadbolt, installation is easy, but if you are adding this lock you will need the same standard tools to drill the door out and chisel the jamb and door edge. Complete hardware and templates are in the box. I like these a lot, the light is bright for night use and they lock with one push of a button. The keys (two come with each lock) can be duplicated by a hardware store to give you extras. As with all key pads you need to still carry a key in case the batteries fail. I fully recommend these locks for both appearance and functionality.

Not difficult to install, but you must pay close attention to the instructions. Looks very nice and feels well built. I wanted something cheaper than the 2 Schlage Sense Deadbolts that I installed on my front and back doors. The Milock is for a side entry door into my garage and is not requiring the hi-tech capabilities of the Schlage Sense deadbolts. I am a little uneasy as so what will happen in wintertime. The interior half is in my garage, which will become very cold, so I wonder if the batteries will have issues, or the mechanism.
