I am very fanatical about my gear and sound. I read between the lines on this one. This is a 99 dollar mic. The Audiotechnica mics in this series all consistently get rave reviews. At 64 dollars, I didn’t want to snooze on this deal. I received it today and compared it to my coveted AKG D5 which is my favorite mic ever. I own the encore 200, EV 767a and CAD C195. This ATM 510 is smooth, clear and covers all vocal frequencies with a presence that sounds for a lack of a better word, “high end”. I’m not sure if it sounds as good or better than my D5, I finally gave up because it’s getting late. This mic is superb.The best word I can think of to describe it is smooth. I previously purchased the AT pro 31 here on amazon and it’s just not in the same league.

Some wear and tear (is rented after all) but full in tact. Fast service!
