I ben putting K&N filters on my cars for OVER 35 YEARS 86T BIRD TURBO 91 GT MUSTANG 94T BIRD 98 LINCOLN MARK VIII 05 CROWN VIC AND A 2011 MUSTANG GT COYOTE AND THE SOUND HAS EMPROVED GREATLY NOT TO MENTION LITTLE MORE POWER I just put it on so i don't KNOW ABOUT THE MILEAGE BUT I REALLY LIKE THESE FILTERS { IT DOES NOT GET ANY BETTER THAN THIS

I recently got my hands on a 2014 Grabber Blue V6 and noticed a performance issue while accelerating. Upon research, I was advised to look at my Air Filter - which turned out to be filled with DIRT. So thanks to Amazon and K&N - i found this filter at a decent price and delivered in 2 days... extra points to Amazon PRIME. After Install - all i can say is WOW... if you are in the market for an Air filter for your Mustang, DO NOT EVEN think of buying something else... the Extra $$ spent on this K&N brand filter are well worth it. I instantly noticed a smoother and crisper acceleration, a slight increase in HP ~ 3 HP and a MPG increase of minimum 2 MPG. I would highly recommend the K&N brand to everyone and am now looking for K&N filters for my other cars. Thanks again to K&N and Amazon Prime for doing it right.

I live at 5,600 feet above sea level so improving my air intake by 23% is bound to help and save money on filters, This K&N drop in seals very well and only takes seconds to install and very easy to clean and service when needed. My Mustang already gets outstanding gas mileage with strong performance. There was no obvious improvement to either but more air and better filtration at a low price is still a winner. Cold air systems like the K&A and others, while doing a better job,require a re-tune and going up to 92 or 96 octane. With the drop in K&A, you gain air flow with no need to re-tune. 305 hp on 87 octane is where I want to stay.

This review is for the "K&N High Performance Replacement Air Filter" in my '14 Mustang. This is the second modification for my car (the first was "OBJECTS IN MIRROR ARE LOSING" decal) since I got it. I consider this a power upgrade as better air flow results in better acceleration and more horse power. The install was easy; pop off the air filter cover, remove paper filter, install cotton fiber K&N filter. The cotton cloth will be much better at catching dirt and will not "plug up" like the pores in a paper filter. The cotton is oiled so dirt particles get stuck while the air flows up, down and around the cotton fibers. I do understand that this is not a "total CAI kit" but more of a step (in the right direction) for my car. This filter will not void my warranty nor does it require a tune. The cost is very low considering this is a lifetime filter; just wash and re-oil. Once I own the car more - I can get the CAI, tune, exhaust kit.
