Probably but you’d be much better off with a Samsung ssd instead, the software it comes with to move everything over is far superior.

Is the ssd disk completely unused i.e not a return ?. the last ssd disk i purchased had over 690,00 residual traces of old file names

Cloned the old disk and used the new one without checking anything. It came in a sealed original package, had to tear everything off to unpack it. If it was a fraud, it was a very good one!

will this work for my B450M-A pro max motherboard?

I am not familiar with that motherboard, but if it has standard SATA hard drive connectors, it should work like a normal Hard drive (only faster)
