Not really for sewing
I got 2 colors of this fabric for mermaid halloween costumes. I had to abandon sewing the fabric because the sparkly parts were not feasible to hand stitch through. Hot gluing it worked out well. I put parchment paper underneath it to prevent it from sticking to my table since parts of the fabric are just mesh. It's a very pretty fabric, but it looks and feels like tulle fabric with sparkly stickers on it.I would not use it for clothing again, but it is lovely for flat surfaces.

Very hard to machine sew.
This fabric looks pretty. I used it as an overlay for a gown for a Barbie Doll. I’m a Barbie collector. It’s easy to cut into patterns as long as you try to line up the end of the pattern to meet the space between the squares. No biggie. But when you sew it on a sewing machine the needle gets clogged and will break if you’re not careful. I guess the squares are glued onto the mesh. So the glue sticks on the needle. I was having to clean the needle every 2-3 stitches with goo gone. It was frustrating and I’m glad it was only a doll outfit and not full size because I was over it pretty quickly.

Looks like the picture! Pretty!
The fabric looks like the picture on Amazon. The sequins are square, flat and seem sturdy and well secured to the mesh fabric, but the fabric is thin and you can see through its mesh between the sequins.

Beautiful but horrible to sew
Ok. I'll give credit where it's due. This stuff is super pretty. HOWEVER. It is the worst to try to sew. It doesn't pin well, at all, leaving fairly obvious holes in the vinyl squares. It slips worse than silk. I had to constantly clean my needle with rubbing alcohol to remove the sticky buildup from it and keep the needle oiled with sewing machine oil to keep from having to clean the needle literally every 30 seconds. Mess up a seam? Too bad. Any attempts to remove said seam result in the mesh ripping. If you're going to do this and sew it, remove the little gripping treads from your machine, set the tension on the bobbin a little higher than normal(I matched mine to tension setting 4 on my singer), moisten the needle with machine oil(I used a q tip to do this and just held the clean end in my teeth since this needs consistent repeating every few seconds), and make sure to do tiny sections at a time rather than just getting the seam done. Pull it through slowly, run the machine slowly, repeat til you're dead inside.

Pretty fabric
I purchased this fabric to use as part of a costume. I was very happy with it. It has a really nice shine and smooth feel to it. I would buy it again if I ever needed it.

Used with custom built loft bed.
I used this to hide the under side of a custom loft bed I built for my daughter. I folded the edges and used a heavy duty stapler to attach it to the under side of the loft bed framing. Came out exactly as I imagined it. It looks like the scales of a mermaid and her loft bed is beach themed. Perfection.

The lilac....is magenta....
Its still a pretty material, but either they sent the wrong one..or the should just call it magenta. My background is purple sparkle in comparison...its in the purple family, if thats any consolation....ill keep it and keep shopping.

Impossible to sew
My poor mother made 13 little jackets for our variety show for third graders and it took her three hours A JACKET because if the glue. It’s gotta be asked, HOW are you supposed to sew this stuff? Nightmare.
