Dechra MiconaHex + Triz Shampoo for Dogs, Cats & Horses (8oz)

Only shampoo we use for our yeast prone little guy. This was recommended by our vet and it was a life savor! Our dog was losing hair itchy all over his yeast got so bad but the hair on his back started falling out and we didn’t know what to do. Starting using this and used it 4-5x a week left on for 15mins and after we knew it his skin cleared up! Hair grew back and now we use it for maintenance. The pads work great as well for his paws.

My 12 y/o dog came home from a pet-sitter after three days with terrible hotspots and had never had them in the past. I tried a few things that didn't work before purchasing Dechra MiconaHex + Triz Shampoo for Dogs, Cats & Horses (8oz). The poor dog was in agony itching and biting until the first application of this fabulous product. Day 2 now and his itching has decreased by 80%!!! I'm going to follow others' recommendations that I re-shampoo on day 3 (including in between toe pads where yeast likes to take hold), walk him for 15 minutes while it "does its magic", and then rinse thoroughly. I believe it's the full fifteen minute application that does the trick and using it 2-3x for the first week. Thankful dog momma here. To anyone on the fence, I'd recommend just purchasing it and following the directions rather than wasting time with other products. Your pet will appreciate your prompt attention to his/her distress.

Even though there was a seal on the top the bottle had leaked a little. It wasn’t bad. My dog has skin issues and this was recommended by our vet. It works great for his issues of itching flakey skin. It smells good and leave is coat soft and shiny. He gets compliments all the time on his coat. It is concentrated so a little goes a long way.

This is a super product from my dog and my Vet recommends shampoo. Thank you for carrying this product!

Very effective for my dog with regular use.

My dog developed terrible skin issues that went on for 18 months, only increasing in intensity as time went by. These issues were attributed by the vet to non-specific allergies. I tried removing every kind of food and altering his outdoor activities one by one in an unsuccessful attempt to learn what could possibly be causing these allergies. After spending $1200 on initial steroids, antibiotics and what-have-you that only temporarily cleared up the problem and left me broke, an expensive $70 monthly prescription for Apoquel reduced his terrible itching and resulting skin discolorations and abrasions, perhaps by only 30%. Another product available on Amazon, the highly-rated CURASEB, was somewhat helpful as well, but overall we were both still miserable.Finally I tried Dechra MiconaHex + Triz Shampoo and it is a game-changer. I take him to the beach, wet him down under the shower, apply the shampoo, massage it in thoroughly, giving thorough treatment between his toes and paw padding, then take him for a ten or fifteen minute walk, after which I rinse him off under the shower and towel-dry him. Literally within 12 hours of the first application his itching was relieved 80%. After repeated 2X a week shampooing over the last 3 weeks, his itching is 95%+ gone and discoloration in his paws and neck is disappearing.I am hopeful that I may be able to wean him off the Apoquel, but the Dechra MiconaHex + Triz Shampoo will become a normal part of his routine at any rate.
