For the price, this is disappointingly poorly made.
I find overall that this device is adequate, but some key threaded elements are incredibly badly made. The threaded fastener used to mount the arm to the C clamp was extremely hard to screw in, and I'm pretty sure, did so by stripping out the threaded hole. half of the hex screws strip out very easily because the provided Alan wrench tool doesn't fit well into their shallow openings.with extreme care, I was able to get this item to work, but it was not easy. And I will not ever be able to change the clamp mount.As a secondary note, the nobs on several of the fasteners are also very hard to turn and seem flimsy.

Best Cellphone Car Mount I Have Found
I tried a number of car mounts for my Samsung S8 Note, S9, and previous cell phones for my car until I found this one. It works great with iPhones and Android phones with displays over 5". I think people miss this one because it says it is for tablets and it shows a suction cup base.Pros1. Heavy Duty - Will not flop around.2. Set screws on each joint. Find the angles you want and tighten it down.3. Allen Wrench included. Keep it with you to change or tighten again as needed.4. Also includes a C-Clap mount that in my car mounts on the edge of a console cup holder.Cons1. The suction cup is good to mount on the windshield but no where near as solid as the C-Clamp if you can use that instead.2. Heavy steel does not collapse.3. The first one survived 3 years of heavy use but the phone clamps wore out.4. Phone does not pop on or off magnetically - you pull open the clamp3. Keep the included standard Allen Wrench in the car - Only way to tighten or change set screws.
