These are perfect for what we needed. Has a rubber gland to keep moisture out. Built well. Not their premium one, but these work well as a plug replacement and are a good value as of this review.

Had to replace the plug on my older Dewalt miter saw. This seemed to be good quality and was easy to install.

Very satisfied with this purchase. Fixed my 50ft 12g extension cord that had a broken ground prong on the male end. The repair was simple and obvious for a long-time DIY'r like me. You shouldn't expose too much of the internal cables insulation. Only remove about a half inch of outer casing past where the wires are stripped. My cord had cable wire (not solid) so I simply removed the screw with the small clamping piece, wrapped the exposed wire around the screw, and reclamped. The color scheme of the screws is traditional. This resulted in a strong connection for each cable. The rear half of the plug was previously placed on the round extension cord without problems. This piece has a grommet like rubber seal inside to resist water entry. When the pieces are brought together they only fit one way due to a tab and slot combo. The pieces are then screwed together, and the end is clamped to the cord. The clamp had covered screw ends which is nice when pulling the plug out or putting it in. The final result felt very solid. Not a cheap feel at all and it was better than I expected at this price. However I can't say it's waterproof because where the pieces come together is not sealed. It's a very nice tight fit, but not sealed. So I'd say it was "splash proof". You could probably* waterproof it if you want to by completely filling the inside with silicon adhesive before mating the two halves together (*disclaimer: I'm not an electrician so this is just an opinion).So this should be a repair that lasts as long as the cord will... longer probably. Leviton quality at a great price.

Got this to replace the plug on a 12 gauge extension cord, works as it should, wires were relatively easy to install and held firm. Screws held the strain relief and covers securely.

It works nicely and is reasonably doable for someone to connect with no experience. Provided that anyone putting this kind of plug on a nice thick wire with three leads can find on how to video for instruction. It comes with a green screw to connect the ground wire and a brass screw to connect to the hot wire and regular screw to connect the neutral wire. I took my time and it came out perfect.
