Vibrant and Easy to Remove
When I was first reading the customer reviews for this product, I was a little wary to buy these chalk markers since so many people said that they didn't erase. However, I just got these in the mail, and they do in fact erase. I have been using them on one of the chalk picture frames where there is a picture frame and chalk where the picture would normally be. They write with vibrancy and clarity. Unlike other markers, if you decide to hold them in place for a minute, they don't bleed into a circle. They have a good tip that neither writes too thin nor too thick. At first, the markers won't write unless you allow the ink to come down. To do this, get a paper towel or a piece of paper and press the tip of the marker on the paper several times until the ink covers the tip of the marker and writes on the paper. Then, you can use them! Just be careful to not rest your arm over your writing because they will smear at first (it usually takes about a minute to dry). Make sure to erase as soon as possible for the ink to easily come off. Use a damp paper towel or cloth to wipe it off, and the ink might smear a little bit, so use the dry part of the paper towel to clean the rest up. I haven't had the writing on for a long time yet, but I would assume it is easier to remove sooner rather than later. I hope this helps, but so far I love these markers!!!

Fantastic Markers!
I bought these markers for use with a stick-on chalkboard on my closet door. All four colors are vibrant, easy to read, and easy to write with. It takes a bit of shaking and pressing the marker against the board to actually get it going, but once the ink is in the nib, they write smoothly. I have no problems erasing the markers with a wet cloth. They leave slight ghosting, but regular chalk does the same thing. I've read that some people have problems with erasing these markers, and I seem to remember having the same problem when writing on a porous surface. These markers are definitely meant more for a black dry erase board, a very smooth chalkboard, or some kind of synthetic chalkboard. Some chalkboards are so porous that they absorb the colors. Other than that, though, these are amazing markers, and well worth the price to brighten up a dark surface.

Great Markers for Vinyl Chalkboard Surfaces
I purchased these chalk markers to compliment the Fancy Rectangle Chalkboard Sticker Variety Pack - Chalkboard Labels in 4 Sizes. They were originally used to label the set of containers I purchased to place my flour, brown sugar, and regular sugar in and then I ended up using the chalk markers on the same labels that I placed on my totes that we used to move. It was a practical task that I knew would allow me to erase the writing after I had unpacked and would most likely use the totes again to place something else inside. The colors of the chalk markers are quite vibrant. It was one of the selling points of them. It is important to note that you will not take them out of the package and then just start writing with them. You will have to take the cap off and press the tip of the chalk marker several times on something (I often used a random sheet of paper until the color came through to the tip, which you will be able to see). After that initial step, I have been able to use the chalk markers several times without any issue.I did notice that right after I had finished writing with the chalk markers, if I were to accidentally touch or brush against what I had just wrote, it would smear. So, to combat this, just set whatever chalk surface you are writing on aside and wait a few minutes. This may be a bit of an issue to some, but for me, I had no problems waiting, as I was able to move on to the next thing I needed to do.Furthermore, other reviews have stated that they had issues regarding the chalk marker erasing completely or leaving shadows. I have yet to experience this problem and I have found that using a damp paper towel allowed me to wipe the chalk marker residue off without issue. I am not sure if it has to do with the type of chalkboard surface someone is using, but using these on the vinyl chalkboard sticker cutouts, there is no shadowing left behind. I can only comment on that aspect, as I have not tried using it on any different chalkboard surfaces. And as a side note, I did use these chalkboard markers on cardboard boxes, as it seemed that my black Sharpies, which were designated for moving specifically, seemed to have disappeared, so I grabbed the nearest thing that there was, which were these markers. They worked like a charm and did not bleed, smudge, or anything of the sort. Not the intended use, but it worked wonderfully.I also stated that I used these chalk markers on the front of airtight containers which contain flour, brown sugar, and regular sugar. These containers get a lot of use in my kitchen and the writing on them is still flawless and has held up well. I have not tried to erase them, but there are no smudges from grabbing them off the counter frequently.Overall, I would recommend these chalk markers for use on vinyl chalkboard stickers or even wall sheets, as I have personally not had any of the issues mentioned above. To erase the writing left by the markers, I have found that using a damp cloth or paper towel has worked wonderfully, without leaving any of the reported shadowing that others have experienced. The colors are vibrant and I found the chalk markers to be reasonably priced, comparing them to a smaller package that I found at a local craft store.

Excellent Liquid Chalk Markers
Used the markers to list items on a blackboard type surface. Most colors show up great. Other chalk markets I've used are too watery and don't provide easy coverage, making the process longer than it needs to be.?

I love this brand of chalk markers
I am a teacher and just recently moved in to a classroom that has a chalkboard. I have tried to use the old conventional chalk, but it doesn't show up very well. My students in the back of the room have a difficult time reading the board. I ordered these liquid chalk markers after reading many reviews on which brands were the best. I love the Bistro brand. I have had many other teachers come in to my room and ask about these markers. I love the variety of colors and they show up so well on a green chalkboard. I use the expo spray to remove the chalk and it works very well. I will definitely purchase more.

Work great, just don't use on chalkboard painted surfaces!
These are a wonderful idea, write well, and look beautiful, but unfortunately they are really really hard to erase completely, at least in my experience. I bought them to use on a chalkboard painted surface in my kitchen (where I keep a running grocery list). I used them once and scrubbed and scrubbed with soap, water and a rag and it's still faintly visible a year later. They might work really well on certain bistro boards but I would warn against using them on chalkboard painted surfaces if you intend to erase over and over. My advice is to test them in a corner before you write all over with them!

These are great for labeling glasses at parties or glass jars in the cupboard. They've started to leak a bit onto the outside of the pen which is quite messy.

casi perfecto

Disappointing!
They don't erase off my chalkboard! It's deceiving.. They're called chalk markers.. But they're not meant for chalkboards!! Don't like them at all. They should be called glass/mirror markers.
