Sal De Ibiza Fleur de Sel, Ceramic Jar, 4.4-Ounce

This salt is great as a gift, however, I must admit that for every day use it's not that practical. First of all the container is tiny and is hard to grab salt with one hand as you have to remove the cork lid first (although the included ceramic spoon is neat, again it's not practical for daily use).In all honesty, your best bet it to go to a local Portuguese store (if you have one) and buy a 2 pound bag of the same type of vitamin and mineral rich sea salt (in the Boston around it costs around $3!) and then get yourself a bamboo salt pig with a swiveling lid (http://www.amazon.com/Totally-Bamboo-Salt-Box-Medium/dp/B001FOPU0U). In the end it will cost you almost the same and be much more practical.Don't get me wrong, this would sure look nice sitting as decoration in a kitchen that people don't really use.Regarding the salt, it is very salty tasting. I would say that 1 tsp in a recipe is almost equivalent to 1 tbsp of regular table salt!
