You can't beat it for the price!
I really liked my background. It wasn't nearly as dark as in the picture--a pleasant gray color with the different paint strokes. Yes, mine was very wrinkled--that really is OK with me it just gives more texture--but there were folds in it which were not. I have a steamer so I will just steam it. I will not fold the background when I am finished with it because it will look fine if I stuff it in a small bag. I plan to shoot with my subject at least three feet in front of it and also I will try to use a wider aperture and this should make the wrinkles fairly negligible. My background has a rod pocket so that I can easily hang it from my background rod. Now, whether it will show through during a flash is yet to be determined--if it does I will take the black background that I plan to buy, and put it behind it. I can easily sew them together and make the background reversible which I may just do. For the money spent I really think this is a good deal. Obviously, if you are planning to do a full body or group shot, you will need a larger background. I just plan to use this for three/quarter body shots and pet portraits. This is on muslin which is a coarse material about as thick as a cheap sheet; however, I cannot imagine anyone sleeping on this material! I think this will work better than paper, which I have used, because it will not tear up easily and it has a variegated background rather than solid. I like that it is light weight because of the portability of it.

It really is just a tie dyed bed sheet
I was a little disappointed with the quality, but it didn’t surprise me given some of the reviews and the cheap price. Mine also had strong white areas so I will have to go out and buy some dye and re-dye it myself to make it useable. The dye job seems to be a bit of a crap shoot, which I guess is not surprising given the price.Just be clear what you’re getting before ordering: a tie dyed bed sheet. You absolutely can get the soft mottled background look for portraiture; if you know what you’re doing, use a large aperture and have enough space to separate your subject from the background (due to the strong color fluctuations this needs to be well outside your DoF for it to look decent). Just make sure you’re ok with using what looks like a tie dyed bedsheet for your background. Not for the photo sake, but for your customers. Up until now I’ve literally been using my actual bedsheets and comforters, and my results are just fine, but my “clients” have been friends and the occasional aspiring actor that don’t care because they’re getting a free headshot. I bought this for a corporate headshot session and I will not use it because it looks unprofessional. If that doesn’t concern you, then by all means, this is a cheaply priced backdrop.

Good basic background, mine does has a pocket at the top
I had ordered one the Cowboy Studio blue backgrounds only to find it way too wild for my use. I had been looking at this background, but it was more expensive and not available via Amazon Prime. Then, the price dropped and it became available via Amazon Prime, so I ordered it. It is much better than the Cowboy Studio products. It's still a bit wilder than the pictures, but it works as a background okay for me.Note: Mine has a pocket sewn in the top for a bar to hang it. It looks like that may be something they recently added, since the other reviews and the description all say it does not have this. I slipped it onto my hanger bar last night and didn't need any clips at all. These all arrive very wrinkled and seem to hold wrinkles very well. I've ordered a steamer, which is what most people recommend to get the wrinkles out.

Use a fabric steamer for the wrinkles...
This item came in 2 days!! I was surprised I got it so fast.Quality is good for the price, color is very close to the photo shown above... I don't think is 6x9 (It could be smaller) but still very good backdrop. You are going to get "the wrinkles" in every single fabric or cloth backdrop you get .. I have an old fabric steamer at home that is amazing but for photo shoots I am thinking on getting this: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00ORC2Z2S/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=2U8G33MF0HT3R&coliid=ILAUKGPD086WC (portable fabric steamer) although sometimes the wrinkles are good for the photos too. In general, I love this product, here are some photos I did not edit so you can appreciate the real color.

Not bad, good price.
Spend more get more, in this case, but this is still a nice lightweight backdrop that gets the job done. Reacts a lot more than I thought it would to gels - if you want to do a color wash with flash it works quite well. Experimenting, I lit it from the back with a shoe-mount flash and a blur gel and got interesting results...worth a try.One word of caution: I tied it loosely around my neck and jumped off the roof with it, spraining an ankle when I landed. It has ABSOLUTELY NO ability to transform you into a superhero. I wish I'd known that. I'd have put a mattress or something in the driveway. Maybe they need to relabel it and say "This product will not make you fly like Superman." My ankle really, really hurts.

Great Quality and Value
I purchased this item and received it very promptly. The price point made it a no-brainer and the reviews sealed the deal. I have only used it once, and that was just practicing with my new 50mm 1.8 lens, but I don't think it's premature to give a little feedback.First I thought the fabric quality was great. It wasn't too thin or too thick (and heavy). In my backdrop collection I am new to the 6x9 size, so this was the first one. It was surprisingly pretty sizable. I can see being able to fit up to 3 (maybe 4) in a photo when that time presents itself. Before I purchased this item, I read all the reviews and one in particular noted if you use Gels with this backdrop it has some very cool variations. This is VERY TRUE. I used an Orange, Black and Green gels during my practice session and the backdrop looked amazing, and very different. I think it's safe to say with my gels purchase, this single backdrop has over 50 color opportunities.I'm very pleased with my Purchase.
