International Concepts Entertainment/TV Stand - With 2 Doors, Washed Gray Taupe

When my son looked at the hardware provided to assemble this table, he found it lacked all the listed and necessary screws. For the price, you’d expect a complete set of required hardware. Update: my son called them about the missing hardware and it was delivered overnight. Good customer service!!!

We bought this as our tv stand. It went together… pretty easy. Some of the instructions could be slightly more detailed… maybe simpler pictures. But was easily figured out with a little brain juice!! Definitely recommend!

This TV stand was very easy to assemble and the quality is excellent. If you are familiar with unfinished furniture that you have to assemble, you will be impressed with this piece. The stand is solid wood, and everything fit together perfectly. The para wood (rubber wood) is smooth and of high quality, and I like the fact that this is a sustainable wood - harvested from rubber plantations when the trees stop producing latex. One thing to note is that this type of wood stains in a somewhat irregular manner (not uniform absorption of stain) so it may take multiple coats. I used a sealer/stain followed by satin wipe-on poly and the result was perfect.

I have 9 pieces of International concepts furniture and this was the first and only piece I had an issue putting together. It must have been the hole makers first day because the piece had multiple holes that had been plugged and when I went to put it together they didn’t align. Thankfully I was able to break off the dowels and make the holes for the hardware line up so I was still able to finish and am very happy with the product. It’s all so sturdy and I loved being able to finish it all to match my other pieces.

4 1/2 stars would be what I’d give it if I could. I give it five stars for build quality, design, and appearance. It’s also simple to put together and the instructions are pretty clear. I’ve got to give four stars, however, due to the fact that the unit I received had a light scratch on the top (about two inches long), a dinged corner and also a small dent on the top, as if it had been dinged with a hammer. Fortunately, with where I have it located, you’d have to really look to find these, so it wasn’t a deal breaker. It is a solid, beautiful piece of furniture, though, and definitely a cut above the pressed sawdust laminate stuff I used to buy. Overall satisfied with my purchase.

I bought this thinking it would be a fun project I could finish in about a week easily. It took over a month. Obviously I underestimated the time it would take. I forgot to account for things like work and sleep. So by the time I finally finished painting, I was ready for it to go together easily and be done with.That didn't happen. The directions are awful and I am usually really good at understanding and following directions. I missed steps because they weren't obvious enough and certain things could have been done much easier than the way the directions instructed. Then the right door wouldn't open because it wasn't aligned right and there are no instructions for adjustments- I did figure it out though. The back wouldn't slide into the grooves because they weren't aligned and all kinds of other little issues. Some problems were caused because I painted the stand, but the big ones were just sloppy manufacturing. I'll just buy cheap Ikea or Sauder furniture from now on. The solid wood on this wasnt worth it. I also want to buy different knobs for it.There are a few positives, I'm really liking the way I was able to customize it. It's also really heavy and I suspect it will hold up pretty well. The wood is nothing amazing but it can't be worse than particle board.
