The 4K transfer is spot on as is the uncompressed mix. I love it

I loved hackers since I saw it on TV back in 06 the way the movie is stylized in all cheesy dialog and all really takes you back to the 90s totally worth it

Ok, so, objectively you could say that this movie is kind of bad. The acting is so-so, the story is silly, the writing is not amazing, and some of the graphics and visuals are pretty rough. A professional critic would likely give this a bad rating. And they'd be right.However, this movie is also amazing. It has an incredibly unique vision, and you can tell that everyone involved in making it knew they were part of something special - it's stylish and stylized moreso than almost any other film i've seen before. The soundtrack is incredible, and the fashion is so absurd and over the top that it's almost timeless, it still looks futuristic and cool despite being clearly influenced by dated trends. Same with the technology and the visuals, it's so stylish that even though some of the specific technology they mention is ancient now, it doesn't feel dated.The core of the story, while a bit silly, is still quite heartfelt and fun. The spirit of true hacking does shine through, and the camaraderie between all the main characters works really well, even despite some varying levels of acting skill.This is a movie you put on, get some popcorn, and watch with your friends. You'll be laughing at it sometimes, and even cringing a couple times at a few jokes that land a bit poorly in 2024, but it never ceases to be entertaining. It's played with such heartfelt excitement for hacking, fashion, music, technology, and spectacle, and it doesn't take itself too seriously, that you can't help but be drawn into it.Highly recommended.

I have loved hackers ever since I was a teenager and I still love it today. I would highly recommend the buy of this movie.

I love this movie and this is such a great transfer. Notice tonnes of details in the movie I hadn't before and I've seen this movie ALOT. sucks having to import 4k's into Australia, but amazon makes it relatively easy for must have movies, bonus disc is wrong region for Australia so you will be sitting there wondering if your BLT drive went AWOL. So time to get off the phone to Venezuela, grab some fries and sip on your jolt cola and relive the 90's with the best sound track ever made. I guess I could have just said, it's Elite.

Ich habe den Film zum ersten Mal 2017 auf Blu-Ray gesehen und fand ihn absolut genial! Das ist pure 90er Jahre IT-Nostalgie in Reinform :-)Ich empfehle den Film jedem, der etwas für die 90er und Technik übrig hat. "Hackers" macht einfach nur Spaß und sollte bloßnicht ernst genommen werden. Die Figuren bedienen die guten alten 90er "Hacker-Klischees" und Sprüche wie "Mess with the best - die like the rest" bringen einen einfach nur zum grinsen! Dazu kommen dann die genialen Hackernamen wie "Crash Override", einfach nur gut!Spätestens wenn sich die Hackergruppe in einer "hippen" Bar zusammensetzt und mehrere 500 Seiten dicke Bücher und Bedienungsanleitungen wälzt bekomme ich Freudentränen. Heutzutage würden die Kids in so einer Szene nur mit ihren Smartphones rumfuchteln ;-) Auch Szenen, wo die Protagonisten auf einem riesigen Bildschirm Spiele mit PS1 Grafik zocken, sowie die CGI Szenen der Hauptserver und hacks lassen das 90er Herz höher schlagen.Das Bild der Blu-Ray ist durchweg gelungen und hat mir gefallen. Ich hatte leider keine Vergleichsmöglichkeiten zu älteren releases, bin mit der Bildqualität jedoch absolut zufrieden.Mein Tipp: Blu-Ray kaufen und in die tolle 90er Tech-Atmosphäre abtauchen. Der Film macht echt Spaß!
