Read if you're in doubt!
Just received my asat 3d today, 2 days earlier than expected (props go to Amazon). Having not been able to put my hands on this before I ordered, i really had no idea what to expect. I had came across this product a few weeks ago and did my homework. I am not the type of guy who enjoys shopping or spending money and always end up with buyers remorse, so it took me a few weeks of research and a lot of talking myself up to finally decide to give up $117 (which was gut wrenching). First off, when I received the product, I couldn't believe how light it is, weighs as much as my flask. There is a few negative reviews saying that they didn't like the product because of this. In my opinion, this is not to be considered clothing. Would you complain your face paint doesn't help keep you warm? This product does however allow plenty of room to layer underneath and although i wouldn't hunt this way, i can fit my snowboard gear underneath and it's still comfortable. And yes is very comfortable with just shorts and t-shirt. This system is meant to be worn over whatever you wear hunting and it's light enough to know it's not there, allowing more options.10 stars in my opinion. Next I am impressed at the integrity of the product. everything is double stitched, and the meshing underneath seems very durable. Within seconds I had the thing on and sneaking around the house. It is QUIET. I read some reviews where they recommend washing a few times to get the stiffness out, but i (other than getting the scent out) see no reason to do so. It move well with the wearer, flexes like it's nothing and there is not even a hint of swooshing in the legs. This thing is as quiet as you are and again, it's as if it's not even there. 10 stars in my opinion. The last thing I have any room to speak of (since i haven't hunted in it yet) is the meshing itself. Again i through it on and played ninja for an hour and one thing i wanted to be sure of was snagging. I walked through the back woods of my house, which has just about everything I will encounter where i hunt. Brush, trees, stickers you know things that are in the woods. The only things that snagged was the stickers, but they snag on my bdu's, legs and arms just the same. There doesn't seem to be any cause for alarm stalking through thick forest in these. Maybe an occasional branch might upset me but that happens even when i'm just hiking in the woods and a branch catches my shirt. I read somewhere that someone was concerned it might catch on barb wire when he crosses a fence - well if it's his fence he should know his property enough to know a way around, and if it's not chances are you shouldn't be there in the first place and last barb wire will catch and tear ANYTHING! I was so nervous spending the money for an unknown product and even thought about cancelling my order a few times but i can honestly say that I believe this will prove itself worth the money. It is nothing more than what it is, a system that is light, allows the need for just one set of camo, and is quiet and durable enough to allow you to stalk your prey (the only way I hunt). If you're on the fence about this, do your homework and look at some testimonials and pictures. Hardly any negative reviews and the one that do exist are from people who don't seem to understand what they are buying. So here is 2 negatives on my end. The hood could be longer on the back side to help cover up the neck area should it happen to shift up and it has draw string holes around the waist but no string to pull tight around the waist. Don't know why it's there if there is no string. Other than that - I couldn't be happier

Its hard to beat a set of ASAT Camo!
I am an avid archery hunter. I consistently hunt for elk, deer, bear, and more with a bow. Having been involved in hunting for so long I have tried many types of camo. I first saw someone wearing this camo on a hunting video and was very impressed with the pattern. After a few days of research trying to figure out what the pattern was, I decided to order a set. I can say that once it arrived I was very impressed with the quality. Normally leafy wear is built on a very thin underlayment of mesh. This is built on a layer of mesh but it seems much thicker and better quality then other brands of leafy wear. The pattern seems a little aggressive at first but if you put it on and go in the woods you will see that it seems to soften up alot. Also if you wash this set a several times and put it in the dryer with no heat, add tennis balls to the dryer to help soften the pattern. The material itself is very soft and quiet and perfect for archery hunting, wildlife photography or anything else that you want to get close to animals with. Improvements that could be made....Add belt loop to pants. Also add drawstring to be able to tighten the pants if they happen to be to big. The elastic does stretch a lot so it covers a wide range of sizes. I am 5'11 and 230 pounds. Mostly muscle. I wear size 36" wranglers and levi pants. I ordered extra large in the ASAT suit. Jacket fits perfect for wearing a sweater or something underneath. Pants waist fit perfect but the length is a little long. Its easy enough to fold up the pant legs wear a set of gators and a rubber band of some sort to keep the legs up. I have tried to provide info that maybe other folks have missed in their reviews. I am going to be using this set from now on for hunting and once they wear out I will be ordering another set.

Not very leafy, and kind of see-through.
It's a good suit overall, but isn't going to work for me. The suit is more mesh than expected, and not very leafy. It's lightweight and seems to be made well enough. I had high hopes for it but I have an issue with the mesh. I've attached two pictures of my thigh/knee. One with the regular lights on, then one with a black light. The first picture shows that it's mostly mesh, and shows that there is a camo-type pattern on the mesh. Under the regular white light it looks fine. Then I turned off the white light and turned on the black light. WOW! I GLOW!!! The suit itself doesn't reflect the UV, but the thin mesh allows my blue jeans to light up. I don't want to wear camo under my camo, so this suit won't work for me. I gave it 4 stars because I still think it's a pretty good suit and will work well for many people.

Best purchase this season!!
This ASAT leafy is absolute gold! I have a ton of Sitka Gear and some Predator fall/gray, both which I love... but I’ve come to find that the deer prefer leafy ASAT. I swear they look right through this stuff! The quality of the material is impeccable and the leg/boot zippers are are an awesome perk. The head net/face mask looked awkward to me at first, but once I put it on and adjusted the pull-string, it was completely comfortable and made me disappear. I suggest taking some practice shots while wearing it to get comfortable and familiar with the process; especially bow hunters. This suit does cost a little more than the cheaper brands, but you’ll get what pay for! I’m glad I bought a size up. I went 2/2 filling doe tags on back-to-back weekends to open the season. I have one tag left, reserved for a good buck. As the weather gets colder, I’ll be able to slide this suit right over my Sitka cold gear.

This camo is awesome. The stuff that it is made out of is another story. I like the way it is made, but it tears very easy. My pants didn't last a week in the field catching on trees and other things. The face mask is built to fit very well compared to a lot of face masks that I wear. If it is cold outside you will want to layer, and if it is warm outside you can wear shorts. That part I really enjoy.

Works very well to break you up
At first I wasn't too sure about the design being able to really match up in my area that I hunt but after getting it and wearing it out while goose hunting, turkey hunting, duck hunting and deer hunting it blends in much better than I could have imagined. Pretty happy with this product. Has been well worn in heavy timber, briars, pine thickets and has held up to branches grabbing it every chance that comes around. It's very light and works well with breaking up your outline even when sitting in the dead middle of an old roadies when a group of turkeys came around a corner and I had no time to set up and brush in. Hens walked right past me at 3 foot. Jake's decided they wanted to go a slightly different path and I held off on my shot for a tom back further in the roadbed. I recommend this product

ASAT - Off the chart good!
IMPRESSIVE!!! I have ton of hunting camos. This ASAT is so off the chart good...you will be amazed! The top & bottom fit perfect. Hood is a perfect fit with billed cap on...I even use with my bow. Very light weight and has withstood several washings so far. I love the long zippers for donning w/o taking your boots off. A front zipper or buttoned fly would have been nice. Size seems to be spot on so order what you wear. Zippers seem to be well made and what I own fits over 4-5 layers on cold mornings. I have also used during midday heat in Florida with just a t-shirt. This will not count as a layer so don't depend on it for any warmth on cooler/cold mornings. Dress layered warm. Awesome product!

Wore this set up for o e season and it held up well. I snagged it a couple times on briars and tore it in a spot or two a bit but still functions fine. I will say that this is the best CAMO I have ever worn and I was able to disappear to most fearful wood creatures. I had two birds on two different occasions land on me while sitting in my tree stand. I had a squirrel use my head as a launch pad while running on the ground and transitioning to s tree......never thought twice about me. And the best was the 9 point buck that I nabbed during archery........the sun was in my face on stand so I decided to sneak down my ladder as quietly as possible. Once I put my feet on the ground I stood dead still and looked around then I heard leaves rustle to my left and a 9 pointer appeared 5 yards from me and never once got spooked....he just grazed on acorns and the rest is history. I would highly recommend this set up as it fits over top of your cold winter outfits and is breathe able enought for early archery. Note try to wear black or earth colors underneath as its netting is see through and light colors stand out. I normally wore a black turtle neck with long sleeves or woodland camo long sleeve shirts Underneath with camo or black pants. Get some matching gloves for your outfit, wear your face ask and use some earth scent spray accompanied by pine scent cover spray and this set up will blow your mind while you vanish into the background. I will buy another set of these in a heartbeat if I ruin my current ones. Wash with scent killer detergent and air dry outside......no smelly good fabric softener unless you want to totally defeat your whole purpose.
