A present to our eldest grandson. He is delighted.

hmmm. it's ok. as a few of the other reviewers have said, there's not a lot to it, some suggestions for photographic projects, stuff you might do on a day out with a new camera - "oooh, let's see what this button does..." - but it's really a bit of a glorified scrap book with sugggestions for what kind of pictures you might want to take: black & white, people, water, steets, food - pictures of food? isn't that what facebook & instagram are for? - but if you really are struggling for inspiration then yeah, get it*. it might work well for a 'young person' who's just been given a 'proper' camera, a new bridge camera or their first DSLR.*inspiration for new photographers is always difficult, cos you're always going to worry your photos are rubbish or boring - i have one friend who is a legit photographer, an ex-wife who was a graphic designer, and another friend who bought a DSLR cos i said they should, so it's difficult. i always describe it as the difference between someone looking at a tree and seeeing shape and form and contrast and features and character, and someone else looking at a tree and seeing firewood...

Nice idea, however, the challenges are totally uninspired and do nothing to stimulate creativity. A blank sketch book would be more inspiring. I don’t think any thought has gone into this whatsoever. I asked for my money back.

The book doesn’t have much in it and didn’t feel worth the money. It’s basically a couple of sentences per page with a space for a photo. I expected it to have more tips or information with each challenge.

This book is the same as the "52 Week Photography Challenge" just with a few less ideas. I gave one to a friend and kept the other for myself. However, if I'd known they were essentially duplicates I wouldn't have ordered both.
