If you are looking for a movie with a decent story (B or B-) that is reliably acted by a relatively unknown group of actors, then this movie will fit the bill. However, if you saw this movie advertised as a faith-based, Christian drama, you will probably come away feeling slightly duped. There is a veneer of Christianity/spirituality spray painted onto this movie -- usually in the form of alliterative religious cliches and 30 second motivational speeches that lead to crying, prayer, and life change (it usually doesn't work that way in real life, but happens often here.) Finally, when it comes to the overall theology of the film (particularly in regards to how one gets to heaven) I think the screenwriters got their information from a Netflix "faith and inspirational film" and not from the Bible.

When I first began to watch this movie, I anticipated the intro statement to read: " Based on a true story." Throughout the movie, various TV and Radio Show hosts discuss Kholi Styles' (the defendant) case. It all seems so real. The end credits, however, indicate this movie as being entirely fictitious. The truth, however, is that this IS a true story. A true story that has unfortunately been a part of our history, and is very active in our present time.In this movie, one radio show host asked, " What is it with America and race?" Good question, although I'd narrow that down to the United States only. As a world traveler, I know of no other country that is as racist as the U.S. is. This coming from a predominantly Christian nation. Where did we go wrong?Excellent movie in portraying the truths of racism and the injustice that comes with it. However, there IS mercy, forgiveness, and grace.

I loved this movie . It made me cry so bad . But the ending was amazing. It just makes you wonderful how much stuff like this is still going on today in this world

THE MOVIE LOVE IT. Bryshere Gray aka Yazzthegreatest is an good actor an the whole cast was good. The movie touch a lot of things that gose on in the enter city an out. Stereo typing how areSociety need to wake up an start specking up for things happen in are community. Kole was convite of a crime he did not do. An put this minder on him at the end he was not the killer if any think he was only helping a person who got shot. Am glad at the end things work out an he was able go back to school. I Give BRYSHERE GRAY 5 Stars an the cast because they brought this movie to life.

very good movie but i tried to cancel this purchase b/c i had rented & then seen where it charged me for a purchase. and on this site its saying $9.99 but in my bank account it has $4.99 & $11.99. We have watched b/C 2 days later it finally appeared but i was expecting my $11.99 refund that did not happen & it is now the 21.

This movie fails on so many levels that I do not understand that it was given a 5-star rating. The storyline had potential, but it fell apart with the jacked-up plot. The dialogue made no sense. The acting was mediocre, but I attribute that to the bad script because the movie has decent actors in it. The unnecessary music track throughout the movie is ridiculous and then to top it off, they used the wrong type of music for the wrong scenes. The overuse of actual clips from media outlets like Ricky Smiley, The Breakfast Club, and so forth, gave the movie a very pretentious edge. Also, the editing is awful and may have been what sunk this movie for me... The scenes just did not tie together and there seem like there was a lot of unanswered questions. For instance, when the black kid was elbowed in the mouth (on pupose) by the white kid who ended up dying later in the movie. Production FAILED to explain to the audience how they moved past that and became friends. In one scene he is poped in teh mouth and then in the next two scenes they are friends and he is taking him home. It's just stupid and a stupid atempt at trying to be a thrilla and leave the audience wondering if the black kid coulld have murdered him.Please save yourself the time and the dime and pass on this ridiculousness.

A bit of a boring story line at times. Yes, a bit disappointed.
