This was a Christmas gift for my 14 year old who loves both writing and “old” things. She has really enjoyed this. The cap was tight on the inks and we had to use a wrench to open it, but no complaint big deal at all. We would rather it be too tight than too loose! A great buy.

My wife loves it. The only thing she didn't likenis that the her hands get inky when removing the rubber stoppers if they were somehow connected to the lid and came off when you took the lid off there would be no complaints at all.

Holds enough ink. Colors are beautiful. Don't like the stoppers for the ink, they are hard to pry off each time. So, I super glued the stoppers to the inside of the lids. Now when I unscrew the lid the stopper comes out with the lid. No more ink on my fingers.

I just received my pen and it's beautiful! There should be some clarification in the description regarding the pen color. Like another reviewer noted, despite choosing and placing an order for the "pink" pen, it is not pink. Mine is blue. The color isn't a make or break for me, although I would have much preferred pink, I want to let others know in case anyone else who orders pink is expecting a pink pen. The box it came in is a beautiful pink gift box, maybe that's where the pink comes in? I haven't tried the pen and ink yet but I also wanted to note that it came with zero instructions. There wasn't a single piece of paper in the box, not even a description of what I received. I've never used a dip pen before, but I imagine it's self explanatory. I just wish it had included something about the pen and what paper should be used for best results. I'll update my review after I try the pen.

What a wonderful set! The packaging is just beautiful.. really fun ink colors.. and beautiful glass dip pen. I plan to give this as a gift.. and I am sure they will love it..!!

Gorgeous glass pen!!! It writes for so long!!! I used my own ink with it to, but the inks are also very pretty. I used the ink as a prize for a pride and prejudice themed party.

First thing I saw was one of the ink vials broken, and all the ink had spilled out. I'm not the first person this has happened to, yet the box it comes in appears to stay the same. Not only that: it's not an item you receive any kind of reimbursement for when something is defective. The options are to return it for money back/Amazon credit, or send it back and receive a replacement. Seeing as how there are some items of clothing you can keep even if they are just the wrong size, I feel like there should be some sort of reimbursement for damaged goods, especially when it's not user error.Aside from that: this may just be me, but the pen doesn't write as smoothly as I'd hope for - it feels somewhat scratchy going across the page. I also had the same problem most others had with the lids: the screw-on cap is separate from the stopper, so pulling out the latter results in getting ink on my fingers. I'd imagine that can be remedied with some super glue, but the design there could use some reevaluating.I will say that the dip calligraphy pen has its upsides, like not having to change out the ink well within the pen, but personally I thought the annoyances and frustrations outweighed the pros. (Though the scratchiness is completely a personal non-preference.)

The pen is lovely to hold - so comfortable. It holds enough ink to write a whole card. I bought it to add lines to some of my watercolor paintings and it does a great job.
