Good source on learning Python for young teens and adults
This review is for the paperback version of the book "Hello World!", third edition."Hello World!" is a book written by Warren Sande, an electronics systems engineer, and Carter Sande who is a computer programmer. The book has 468 pages, a preface, acknowledgements and an 'about this book' before be27 chapters and three appendixes. The main theme of the book is teaching the Python programming language to children, albeit by the manner in which the book is written and illustrated, the authors could be teaching any other programming language. The third edition deals with Python version 3 (previous editions were for Python version 2). The first chapters begin with very basic concepts such as how to install the Python language, how to use IDLE, basic Python grammar, variable types and variable naming conventions, etc. then continues on to more advanced concepts like if, then and else decisions and loops, objects, GUI, etc. and lastly how to write programs for simple games that put together the previously learned concepts. Each chapter is written using very friendly language, illustrated with simple but well-drawn characters that guide the student or explains things. The authors take great pains not to introduce new ideas or concepts without explanation. Each new programming concept is clearly defined as it is being introduced, even if the authors seem to use a lot of space to do so.I found the book very entertaining and very easy to understand. The lessons start quite basic but even when the authors move to more complex subjects, the lessons continue to be very easy to follow. The illustrations and lessons remind me of the old BASIC manuals that came with the TRS-80 and Commodore computers, meaning that they were written in a similar vein.I recommend the book for anyone who wants to start learning a programming language and definitively recommend it for children.

This is a lifesaver
Taking a Python class at college level and this has helped with the basics. Clear English, logical examples, and practice code. Would recommend for any one attempting Python but just aren’t picking it up quick.

Surprisingly helpful
This book, though for beginners and kids, is extremely helpful and I am doing surprisingly well with python though I knew nothing about python before this.

Overpriced
It's cheaper and comes with examples and files from the book if you buy it direct from the website. I returned this one and bought it elsewhere
