Costs more than alternatives, but the alternatives didn't work well, this one did.
I have a USB3 hub that sits in another room in the house with the VALVe Index, and three VIVE body trackers, these are pretty bandwidth intensive and latency sensitive devices.I have been using a variety of different active USB3 extenders to reach my powered USB3 hub and have had many difficulties on other products, but with this one, all the devices worked, with no disconnecting problems, and even had sufficient bandwidth to run the built in Index camera which I was unable to on the previous extenders I had tried. For anyone intending to use this for VR with a hub, make sure that you test the hub connected directly to your computer before extending this (finding a decent USB3 hub has been a challenge and you may need to shop around). Also, get the shortest, highest quality cable you can for your hub to the extender because this typically help prevent your bandwidth falling off or introducing too much latency that can cause synchronisation issues with your HMD.
