Works like a charm!
I have two tanks. One is a 29 gallon BioCube and the other is an Innovative-Marine Nuvo SR-80 (80 Gallon Shallow reef). The BioCube is 13 months old and the SR-80 is two months old. I always had a minor nagging algae problem in my BioCube. I did everything the experts said; I took out the bioballs, added a protein skimmer, put in a media rack with filter floss, Purigen and Chemipure Elite, ran carbon, etc. I finally decided to add a media reactor. I ran GFO for a month with no improvement. At the same time i had quite a bit off hair algae growth. Clearly a phosphate problem.I pulled out the GFO and ran Seachem PhosGuard for 4 days then switched that out for the NPX Bioplasticks. Within 2 days there was a dramatic reduction in hair algae. Phosphates and nitrates went to 0. The water became Crystal clear. The algae completely went away after a week and had never returned. Three weeks ago i removed the Purigen and Chemipure and still no algae. This stuff makes a HUGE difference.I started running it in my SR-80 after a 4 week cycle. I did have a big bacteria bloom which is normal, especially in new tanks. I ran a UV sterilizer for 12 hours which cleared it right up. Have never had algae in this tank. Algae blooms happen 90% of the time in new tanks but not this time! You must use this in conjunction with a protein skimmer. You really need to use these in a media reactor so that you get a good tumbling effect with good flow.

After reading reviews online, I'm going to give it a try.....
I read a lot online about how biopellets can be a set and forget option in a marine fishtank to control nitrates and even phosphates. I'm using these in a 75 gallon tank. I started out with 1/2 the ammount that was recommended and will see how it helps in the next few months. This was packaged well and seems to be in the price range of other brands of pellets.

Working great
I have two of these reactors on my 75 gallon marine tank:Reactor #1 contains 150g of the Phosban GFO media. It's working to remove phosphate but I'm going to try switching to a media with larger granules because these are so small they fall through the reactor's bottom sponge causing the uplifting water to channel and I'm not getting a uniform flow through the media. I'll update this in a few weeks when I change out the media. I'll probably switch to seachem's phosguard.Reactor #2 has TLF's NPX bioplastic nitrate media. This is working like a charm. My eternally persistent, pesky, nitrates were at 30 to 40 ppm until i put this unit in. I gave the tank a couple of doses of Captive Purity's AZ-NO3 Nitrate Eliminator solution and set this baby in motion and my nitrate have been undetectable for 3 weeks. I hoping to reduce my 20% water changes from every 3 to 4 weeks to 3 months. I'll update this comment in about 6 months and let you know how it goes.

Good buy
First time using bio pellets, wasn't sure which brand to go with but I'm glad I went with these. They don't float like not her brands. I soaked them 24hrs prior to adding them to the reactor. With all BPR, u want to set it and for get it. Dont add media or keep messing the reactor. Id say wait at least a month before making any adjustments. Mines took almost two months for me to see they started working but when they did I had to remove some because my nitrates were a 0. It was Too low than what I like. Corals always need some po3 n po4. Nitrates are sitting at 10 right now. N thats were I want it. U will also need a pump that has a high gph rating to turn ALL the pellets. I'm running them on a BRS reactor. Im purposelybrunning a undersized reactor because1: i dont want the reactor being the heart of my system( thats how systems crash)2: I run other things that export nitrates such as media, skimmer and Algea scrubber. If your on the fence, I would say give them a try. I was in your shoes before and glad I made the leap.

Works
Takes about4 weeks to start working

Works well for the money compared to your more expensive brands
Good for the money you will get red slime from the nutrients that the pellets put into your system if you put the outlet of the media reactor to your protein skimmer you are less likely to have a problem. They brought my nitrates from 120 ppm to 0 in a few months along with water changes. The reason for the 3 stars is because they seem to clump frequently if you don't have enough flow running through them. I was using The Two little fishes 550 which is not recommended for biopellets so thats probably why I had the problem.

Nitrate killer
Works excellently. I run a heavily fed saltwater breeding setup. I had a small bacterial bloom on day 3 and it was cleared up by day 5. I am using these in the small two little fishes phosban reactor with the npx screens and the foam removed. Excellent product.
