can I cook red beans or any kind of beans in this pot?

You may cook beans in the Presto® Kitchen Kettle® multi-cooker/steamer. Keep in mind this does not work like a pressure cooker or a slow cooker. This is similar to a kettle placed on the stove. Such a nice cooker and horrible power cord. Too thin, gets hot, and should be 3-prong due to amperage or at least thicker cord. Suggestions?

Never had this problem. Mine is 3 prong like on the laptop charger. With triangular plug. Rice is far better than in a regular cooker. We use Nashiki.

Perfect Fryer & does the job! Unlike the disappointing T-Fal Stainless Steel 3.5L Fryer

I purchased a T-fal Deep Fryer Stainless Steel 3.5 L 1800 Watts 3 years ago and it no longer works. Despite resetting the T-Fal fryer the oil was unable to come to temperature & simply stopped working...so disappointing! The exposed coil element is never a good idea. Since I already own a smaller Dry Daddy for the pat 25 years I decided to purchase the XL 10Q Fry Daddy to replace my broken T-Fal. So far it works amazing, frying larger batches of fries in minutes. This XL unit will be a great addition and I am sure this will last much longer than the T-Fal.

Easy to use, clean, and store!

Very surprised in a good way!

I bought this to fry fish at a cookout and it works great. First it’s bigger than I expected and it got hot fast and fried really well. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the cord. I attached a picture but I didn’t care for the middle attachment as it comes off easily and you have to be very careful and it also would be nice if cord was longer. Otherwise it works great as a fryer!

This is huge

This is huge. Perfect size for a large family or gathering. I use it to fry items, but also use it for large amounts of pasta. I have also cooked green beans. You can cook just about anything in it. Very easy to use, heats up quick. I was a little worried about putting it in the dishwasher, but everything was fine. I have ran it in the dishwasher numerous times with no issues. Very easy to clean.
