Does the item raise the temperature under the hood?

If your talking engine temperature no change.definitely a lot louder when you jump on it.

Can you replace fiter with one fro autozone or is it a special fit.

Im not sure seems like others would fit. If you are thinking of buying this just get it. I replaced a z tube with this and am far more than glad i did.
