From a Sister's Heart: Memories and Wishes from Me to You

Great book that has prompts for many memories/information/etc.

There are Many overlapping or repetitive questions with little space to write. I'd be a lot happier if there were fewer or condensed questions with a half to a whole page for writing the answer or memory. Example- there are several times it asks about your favorite games to play together just in different wording and several places where it asks how you were there for each other in a hard time. It's hard to put a brief answer to how my sister has been there for me at the worst and best times of life. I do like the Idea of filling in what I can and then letting her fill in whatever she can over time. I'm 28 and there are a lot of questions that either don't apply or I just can't remember. I think this would be a great gift to young sisters to fill out together as they grow up, maybe teenagers. I know even if I can't answer everything this will mean a lot to my sister who's 31. The illustrations are really beautiful and the quality of the book is sturdy. There is an elastic band to keep it closed.

I've been very lucky- as my sister is my best friend. As we have gotten older I'm realizing how much I value our memories together. This book is a perfect way to honor them. It has places for pictures and fun stories and in jokes. I like how it travels through our lives. Starting with childhood memories, then family fun and games, holidays and milestones, secrets, a shoulder to lean on and finally sisters for a lifetime. Within its pages are little reminders of out life together to fill in such as: I can't believe I used to, our craziest New Year's Resolutions, the best game nights, the traditions we've kept.... I plan on pasting a few photos and adding a few remarks before giving it to her for the holidays. I hope we can go through it together and fill in more pages! I also like that there is plenty of space to add little stuff and the cheerful bright colored pages. Plus in the back of the book a little folder to add knick knacks. I can't wait to give it to her.

Even though this book includes “Memories and Wishes from Me to You” as part of the title, it's likely something that older sisters will need to fill in together. One might recall some information the other has forgotten, didn't know in the first place, or just plain disagrees with!Just a couple of examples of this:- “Your friends talked you into...”- “Your favorite way to spend the summer...”My wife and her sister have always been extremely close, but even so this book would have been better used between them starting as children and filled in throughout life. It would make a great sort of two-person running diary of things and events which you'd both like to remember.That said, she is planning on gifting this to our granddaughters, who are 8 and 12 years of age. They love this sort of thing, and I'm sure will make great use of it.None of what I've written here takes anything away from the book itself, which is beautifully done, inside and out. It has a thick hard cover to protect it over the years, and an elastic strap to hold it closed. There are also various places to add pictures throughout, and even a folder on the inside back cover where you can store things such as larger pictures along with any paperwork desired. Maybe school report cards? Nah, better skip that.All in all, a very nice book, once you decide exactly how you're going to make use of it. Kudos to the Author!

I have friend who are twins who would love this book. My sisters two daughters would love it. They all value their sisterhood to a very high degree and keep a big focus on that. I don't have anyone I'm that close to. If I were to fill this out honestly and share it with my sisters, I'd probably have to go in the witness protection act to save my skin.So, if gifting it, just make sure you really know the people you might be gifting it to very well.It's a pretty book that is well designed. They have played a LOT with fonts but it works. It answers many questions that can be filled in, and there's ample room to do it for all but those people who write HUGE.It could take the place of a scrapbook for people who like to read and write. It does have some space in it to tape pictures or put ticket stubs or special memories. There's a folder in the back for anything loose that otherwise doesn't have a spot.The whole thing closes with an elastic blue ribbon closure. I think it is pretty.

Extraordinarily darling book I cannot wait for my daughter to begin writing in for her younger sister. I can’t even begin to imagine how sentimental this will be when they are older and will for certain be something they can grow their bond stronger off of. I can see them reading this and laughing together when they’re older and it just warms my heart. Funny little questions and places to fill out cute answers. Great concept!

This is a nice scrapbook/memory book type gift. It's a little weird b/c you have to fill it out before you give it to her, I was hoping for some more things in here to do together. It's a nice, hard cover bound book. Overall, I really like it.

Good way to recollect the past and your relationship with a sister. Really pulling my brain cells to get motivated to fill out the book. Taking your time to answer each question honestly, really makes it more impactful.
