I'm convinced
It's a great watch ,fitness tracker ,space age telecommunication device. Captain Kirk would wear this!! I had the bip. I work out and what I need is my heart rate and pace. The bip was ok and was pretty good with sleep tracking as well. The screen was low res but it worked. I saw this dropped in price so I tried it. Wow great watch. Love it. Zep software is meh there is third party app that really makes this watch useful. for those that complain of the inaccuracies of the heart rate the sleep and other things you need to look at it over an average and collect data. After about a month I can now see how it tracks and it will show variances in sleep, calories, pace and heart rate. It works. I use mine for working out everyday and it's perfectly fine. I do have a heart rate monitor, a chest monitor that I've compared it to. it's close, watch is little more sensitive but the idea is to just get a baseline using that watch and go from there. it works great. You want to spend three or four times this on an Apple watch because it says apple or on a Garmin watch cuz it says Garmin have fun but mine works just great for working out. The battery life is awesome. Right now I use it on treadmill so haven't been hitting gps much. On outside rides I use gps for accurate pace tracking and distance. With mixed use I get 22 days with 10 percent left. Fits great. Uses standard watch bands. It charges quick. Looks great. Honestly if you need at watch and a fitness tracker and understand how to use the data. You will love it.

It takes some patience to set up but then it is FABULOUS.
This is my first smart watch and I am very favorably impressed. The style and solid construction are important to me but the main features I wanted are the big sharp screen, notifications and amazing battery life. I don’t need to make or receive phone calls on a watch, but I do like seeing caller ID, text messages and Facebook messages. Pleasant surprises included very good weather data, heartbeat monitoring, exercise monitoring, and GPS. One thing I mainly enjoy is the ability to change watch faces to suit my mood. One day it’s a military screen, another day it’s a Rolex screen; I love having a Mickey Mouse screen sometimes! The learning curve was steep for me and I was discouraged and frustrated for a few days. Installing the app on your phone is a must. Eventually I matched up the settings on the watch and my cell phone successfully. My best advice to new users is to reboot the watch and the phone when you’re sure all of the notification settings are correct. Yes, I was ready to return the watch until the reboots got it working up to expectations. A final note: if the QR code doesn’t work at startup, you can choose the “no code” option to pair the phone and the watch automatically via bluetooth. I love my new watch!

It's a good smartish watch for the cost
I won't make this a mile long review. The good: battery life, nice screen, very customizable settings such as screen on settings, notifications, etc. The mediocre...sleep tracking, GPS and compass, fitness tracking and of course theres no Google or other pay ability, no replying to notifications, and it doesn't understand much about some apps (very basic notifications). I also happened to buy a fossil gen 5 for the same price and if you could combine the battery life of the GTR with the Gen 5 you'd have an almost perfect watch. I find I use the GTR when I know I may not be able to charge at night. Overall a very good value...if you can get a gen 5 or other true smart watch for the same price them your only real decision is battery life versus extra features.

PERFECT! I have used several smart watches in the past and this loaded feature watch is my FAVORITE!
Durable case - comfortable adjustable band - feature loaded for my needs - fair price - outstanding battery life between USB charges - huge selection of FACE designs - Nice MANUAL (if you go to manufacturer's web site and download): factory included manual too small for my old eyes. The BAD: Invested 30 minutes attempting to create account/register at manufacture's site - site would not accept a dozen attempts using the required format. I finally surrendered and created account using Gmail or Facebook and it instantly worked. Also, minor confusion regarding the correct app name for setup (company changed name to Zepp). Overall, this product EXCEEDS my expectations.

Solid build quality, terrible software
I was really attracted to this watch for the most obvious reason -- the battery life, which is as impressive as advertised. It came about 60% charged, and when I returned it a week after getting it I had never even taken the charger out of the box. Plus, the screen is amazingly nice and the watch overall just looks and feels really well built. The sensor accuracy is really good. Step counting was almost dead-on, and the heart rate monitor's numbers were consistently believable both at rest and while working out. However, the software, both on watch and the mobile app, are abysmal. Main issues include:* On-watch and mobile app calculations of resting heart rate diverged by as much as 20 bpm. The watch's especially were all over the place. That's actually an important number for me, and the fact that the two numbers were so inconsistent without any explanation made it heard to trust the other heart rate numbers I was getting.* The mobile app in general is...okaaay, but the lack of Google Fit (or HealthKit) integration turned out to be kind of a dealbreaker -- not because I love Google Fit that much but because being unable to export my data to other apps kind of sucks, and the proprietary mobile app is still a B- at best. To get good data visualizations and control over other app integrations etc, you need to install (and run in the background) between 2 and 4 additional apps. Weeeak.* Additional watch faces are basically all unofficial, and while on the one hand there's a large and active community of people making custom Amazfit watch faces, on the other hand perusing the online galleries makes you feel like you're buying a knockoff Gucci bag off a sidewalk, and the whole process of loading them onto your watch is hacky in ever sense. All in all this is basically the hardware of a $350 watch with the software of a $40 watch, and that just doesn't average out to $180, at least to me.
