Minute White Rice, Instant White Rice for Quick Dinner Meals, 14-Ounce Box

Economical, Trusted, Multiple Use. This item requires less cooking time/ fuel to prepare. Is shelf stable but I use my pantry items so they all have fresh purchases added/ rotation. I use a wipe off magic marker ( dry erase), putting the month & year on each container or can. That way I can use the oldest, plus turn my 'CANs' upside down each 6 months. All cans are flipped, on my chosen Rotation months. Make your choice of 6 month apart months. I chose March and September, those are the months ahead of Spring and Fall cleaning. This flipping remixes the liquids and helps preserve the contents. One slash on the cans end each time it is flipped. When you have a full X on each end, you have stored that can 2 years and should use and replenish with new cans. Always add new cans to the back of their line-up. Just like the grocery store does.

It's not the best-tasting rice, but it does save my time a lot from the hurdle of cooking. Make my life easier. It lasted for almost 2 months for me (not always eating rice daily), it's a good price.

Rice is my food staple but I’m just too lazy to cook it when I feel like eating. This instant rice is actually great. Not sticky like the Japanese rice I was raised on but for an instant rice, it’s got good texture and is fluffier than other instant rice I’ve tried. I just boil some water, pour it on and mix, then let it stand for 15 minutes and it’s done. Nice clean taste and I’ll define ordering more.

Minute Rice is a lifesaver in our house! I’ve never found a better value than this from Amazon—it’s quick, easy, and perfect for everything. My goldendoodle eats wet food with white rice, and we use it for all kinds of meals like orange chicken or chicken and rice. It’s a staple here, and it always turns out great!

I used to get these from a big box store however after Covid they quit carrying them in the large sizes. We eat rice a lot. We can easily go through 6 boxes in 2 months if not sooner. Easy to make and tastes great. My reason for 4 stars though is because no matter how many times I buy some I always have a bunch of rice in my box that leaked out. Every…time. My post office hates it.

for what it is its an excellent product, a fast easy way to make rice - the quality is no where as good as making quality rice from scratch but thats not the point of this rice - to get the minute rice to be light and "fluffy" takes more than soaking it in boiling water for 5 minutes though - i make it in a pan by bringing water to boil then add rice and simmer 5 minutes then turn heat off and let soak on warm burner another 5 minutes or so to really get it well cooked - cleans up nice that way no burned rice kettle - the flavor is a bit "off" so not as nice to eat just as rice but blends well with other food like beans or veggies - love it for the ease of cooking and easy cleanup

What’s to say? Minute rice has been around for years. The rice is as reliable now as it was then.
