Repair for Eco Smart ECO 11
The fact that this kit is available is awesome. My ECO 11 started to operate intermittently. I have a very good water treatment system and did not want to believe the heating elements were the problem.I eventually figured out the ECO 11 would work at low flow rates, but not high flow rates. So then I ordered this kit.I was disappointed that I had to practically disassemble everything but the heating elements to replace the partsproperly.I needed to get under the circuit board. So everything was unplugged to remove the circuit board. The connectors are color coded, but I still marked which one goes where. They did seem to be idiot proof, but I didn’t take the chance. No real special skills needed. If you can use a screw driver and keep things clean you can do this.I did uninstall the ECO 11 and do the repair on a table. I suppose you could do the repair with the ECO 11 installed with the power and water shut off, but I didn’t want to try.Mine is connected to 3/4 PEX via Sharkbite so it only took me about an hour to Remove/Install the ECO 11 and replace the parts.

Read everyone's reviews to help with installation
Firstly, Eco Smart was very helpful in troubleshooting my unit. Then, the rep directed me to the right PDF file instructions that help illustrate how to troubleshoot your unit. Once you nail down the problem of no hot water (a.k.a. this sensor), you can buy the replacement part directly from them, or here on Amazon. Amazon was one-day delivery. I only bought the sensor, not the sensor and the part that hooks into the water piping. Also, the assembly, although "square", will only line up properly with the screw holes with the power wire facing the back, or the front. I believe the old one faced the back. Otherwise, it worked. I agree with someone else about ordering an extra set of this item for the next time. You can't count on it being available the next round, and we all know it's not if it will fail - it's when. Just tape it to the top of the cover so you don't go crazy looking for it.

Complete kit
A very complete rebuild kit. Received the wrong part the first time, and returned to get the right one. Prompt replacement. This did not fix my heater as hoped, so the 9 times out of ten trouble shooting scenario didn't pan out for me.

Quality part and straightforward replacement
The part is exactly what it says, perfect replacement and worked for me with no issues at all. I noticed it does have a bit longer delay than the original flow sensor, i.e. it takes longer to come on after a faucet is opened and longer to go off after a faucet is closed. That's not a problem tho (did make my heart skip a beat at first tho). This part exactly matches the original, making it an easy replacement in terms of the steps to follow (materials may even be superior to original). The most difficult part is moving all the other wires out of the way to get the old parts out, new parts in, and not lose any screws in the process.

Easy to install
This part was pretty easy to install but be prepared for all the water that comes out. I ended up drying the water inside the unit with my hair blow dryer. Working great so far and it saved me a visit from a plumber or having to just buy a new unit.
