Built for gear, the Apex Transition Bag keeps all of your essentials organized for quick and easy access on race day. It features numerous organization compartments, including a bottom wetsuit compartment, exterior mesh pockets and 15" laptop sleeve for travel. The triathlon backpack also features a drawbridge-style main compartment that opens to conveniently display all of your equipment. Review: The best backpack for traveling - Full disclosure first: while I am a swimmer, I did not use this backpack for moving to/from the pool. I had been looking for a backpack to use while traveling through Indonesia and Australia. I was planning a two week trip so I needed a versatile backpack for getting in and out of airports. I wanted something smaller because I didn't want to check the back, and I knew I was going to be on some smaller airplanes and the overhead bin would not allow anything too large. But I also needed it to carry a lot of gear, including a smaller backpack for my camera/lenses and several days worth of clothes, backup clothing, everything you would need for 2 weeks. I was also going to be moving around islands via moped (scooter) so it had to be a stable backpack with a waistbelt. While there were some backpacking daypacks that fit most of these criteria, none of them fit everything. I searched for weeks until I was passing through a Triathlon store and came across this backpack. It was perfect. It was large, had plenty of optimized pockets, it would fit in an overhead bin on a small airplane, and it had a waistbelt. It also had a few things I didn't know I was looking for: back padding, a laptop compartment, and a dry pocket. I spent nearly a month packing, making sure everything would fit and that this backpack could handle weeks of traveling through the countryside on a moped. I was even concerned that it could make it. I shouldn't have been. The Apex Transition Bag was amazing. On the moped it was stable. While walking the padding saved my back. The pockets made everything easily accessible (which was a big deal when I had to get out passports, licenses, ipads, notebooks). But here's the biggest thing: I never had a problem fitting anything into this bag. When I started traveling the bag was already full. When I returned weeks later, I had bought clothes (including a full sweatshirt!), electronics, and I literally bought a blanket. I never had any trouble fitting everything into this bag. It never complained, strained, or refused to cooperate. I do not know how i managed to fit even _more_ than I planned into this bag, but it took all the punishment I gave it and I believe it could have taken more. The only complaint I have? When I put some shorts that were not completely dry into the dry pocket, after a few hours the dampness seeped in so that my stuff in the main compartment was only slightly damp (not even close to wet). I could have packed it better and avoided this, I am willing to blame user error over bag design. I do not know how it is in the pool, but if you're looking for a travel backpack I can recommend this bag over any other. TYR if you're listening, considering branching into the travel bag market because you killed it with this one. Review: Its a big bag - This is a perfect bag for what I needed it, traveling to and using at a triathlon. It has a lot of room for all the stuff you need for a transition setup and then some more, where you can fit your before and after clothes, race nutrition, jacket, extra shoes, etc. The laptop compartment is a great plus, as I had to work while traveling. The only problem I find with the bag being so roomy is that it may be too big for a short person. Im 6'5 and found it a bit too large for my frame size, and you MUST take your helmet out from its compartment if you have any hopes of placing it under the seat in front of you in the plane. Although it does qualify as carry-on, this will NOT fit the overhead bins if fully packed (even after removing your helmet). It will only fit in first class cabin bins, or maybe in larger long haul aircraft. I have only used it for one trip, but it seems really sturdy and will probably hold up for a long time.

Its a big bag

should be great for cycling as well!
While I have not yet put this bag into its intended use as an overnight bag for MS cycling, I specifically went to TYR because of the praises garnered from friends that use the Alliance bag for cycling purposes. I feel that this bag will be even better, with its suitcase style opening that will even accommodate helmets, and the visual availability of nearly everything in the bag both for usage and for packing purposes. I expect that the bottom zippered storage section that is intended for wet suits or towels will serve well for sweaty cycling gear if need be. My only slight reservation is whether the larger specifications of the bottom section will cause any difficulty if I were to use this bag as an overhead storage bag for airline flights. I have only the highest degree of expectation for this bag as it relates to my specific cycling needs...good visibility, great dimensions, nice shoulder straps and chest strap, additional outside pockets, separate laptop compartment, and easy access to everything!

Very pleased
More than enough room for triathlon or swim gear. This is a BIG bag with lots of room and compartments inside and out. I can fit all my triathlon gear in this thing without feeling like is a blackhole! And it stand upright! I hope it lasts a while and if not I would probably buy another just because of the designed setup. Also it sits very well on the shoulders dispersing the weight of the bag equally.

Great for triathletes
A great transition bag for triathlon athletes. It has small zippered pockets, open compartments, divided sections, and a separate wet dry compartment. Love. My one star off is that it is quite large.

Perfect tri bag!
Bought this for my husband and he absolutely loves it! He does triathlons and this bag has more than enough room to carry all of his gear. And the bright color helps it stick out among everyone else’s stuff, as well as helps him find stuff on the inside.

Spacious bag
This was a Father's Day gift to my husband. At the moment, he is using it as a swim bag. It's a large, spacious bag with many pockets and sleeves that will come handy when he starts doing triathlons.

Great transition bag
This is a great bag. There is plenty of room for all equipment including a wetsuit and helmet. Fits very comfortably when worn as a backpack and makes it easy to ride your bike from your car to the transition area. Plenty of pockets inside and out to organize your stuff.

Robusta e spaziosa
Mi son trovato davvero bene.. molto spaziosa e robusta.
