CD Review: Great r&b rock - Awesome cd! All the hits. Killer music. Review: The Best Of The Spencer Davis Group - One of the premier groups of the Sixties and Seventies. This is a remake of the original record. I would have liked to have the original record. However, I slipped it into my collection of vintage records and forgot about. When I get a craving for the Spencer Davis Group I will pull the record, play it and be transported back to the time of the greatest generation and the greatest music ever, even if it's just for a moment. Anyway, great transaction, love the record, can't complain. Peace!

Great Bluesy Tunes!
Wow...what a treasure to find! This albums rocks. If you listen to the soulful songs then look up a vid on youtube, you will be blown away that the singer doesn't look like the traditional southern blues man his voice brings to mind! I loved every tune on this album. The Spencer Davis Group was before my time, but I sure am glad I found them now.

Good music doesn't age. And good old times and memories in a small box. It's like going back in time and smiling intensively.

I've always liked "Gimme Some Lovin'"
I'm old enough to have been around when the Spencer Davis Group was just that. A group. I've always liked "Gimme Some Lovin'", and "I'm A Man". But, the reason I bought this CD is because of "Keep on Runnin' ". It has that driving guitar riff and beat that's great to listen to while you're driving down that long, lonesome highway. I never hear it on the radio anymore. But, the song reminds me of my fun-filled youth. I have listened to all of the other songs on this CD more than once. But, they just don't do much for me. Hence, the 3-star rating.

This is an excellent album showing all their skills as musicians, again the two brothers in the band really complimented each other and Spencer Davis really suffered when they could not work with each other sibling rival being the problem I think but this cd shows them at their best and is really worth investing in.
