Worth the expense
My baby loves to be held in the Moby Wrap. It was particularly useful in the early months, when she was not comfortable in a "baby bjorn"-style carrier. She slept in it really well, probably because she was held so tightly against me. She is now old enough to alternate between this and a "baby bjorn"-type carrier. The carrier is great for when I want her awake and alert, but the Moby Wrap is good for longer wearings, when I want her to nap.Practical tips:1. There's a lot of wrapping required, but you get the gist of it quickly.2. It fits me fine (5'4", 130 lbs), but my husband is 6'2", 200 lbs, and the ends of it barely tie for him.3. Put it on before you get in the car (without the baby of course), as you don't want to be wrapping yourself in a dirty parking lot. It is very long and the ends drag on the ground as you are performing "the wrap."4. The fabric is a kind of jersey knit, which is very warm. This might not be comfortable in the middle of summer or a very warm climate.5. It shrinks a little in the dryer, but seems to stretch right back out to its previous size once you put it on and stick a baby in it.6. Moby gives instructions on how to make your own Moby Wrap from your own fabric if you don't want to purchase their product. But you know what? For the amount of fabric I'd have to buy, this price is really not bad. Plus, this version has a pretty little modern design on it that makes it fun to wear.Overall, I can say I've gotten my money's worth out of this item. There are other baby items I've purchased for a similar price and not used nearly as much. I'm glad I bought this!

Very comfortable but has its downside
I found it to be an extremely comfortable way to carry baby and I have back and neck problems. The newborn hold is very easy to learn and both my babies were comfortable in the wrap (I have twin preemie girls who were born weighing 3 pounds and now weigh 9 pounds). Other carriers are not as comfortable for me and I instantly feel pain in my back whereas with the moby wrap I have walked for an hour without feeling any discomfort. I look forward to taking one of the babies on a hike in this wrap and I'm sure I will be very comfortable (my husband would carry the other baby of course). By the way, in case it helps the people reading this review, I am 5 foot 5 inches with a small frame and after 3 months post partum I weigh 135 lbs which is about 10 lbs overweight for me.The almond blossom design is very pretty and if you don't want the flower design to show you can always wear it so it doesn't show. I personally find the design adorable and believe it is a more original look than most of the other moby wraps I've seen. The downside to this carrier is that it takes a little while to get on, not too long, but every second seems like an eternity when you have a screaming baby. Other carriers you can just slip on and put your baby in them immediately. I don't find this to be too much of a drawback but I definitely have wished many times I could just pick up my baby and put her in a carrier instead of waiting to put on the wrap properly. The other disadvantage of the moby wrap is the great amount of fabric. When you put it on inevitably some fabric touches the ground which isn't always desirable depending on where you are.Overall I love this wrap because it's comfortable for me and my baby and it is versatile since there are so many different ways you can carry your baby. The instructional videos that I found on the Internet (mainly youtube) were easy to follow even for someone like me who considers herself inept at such things. I highly recommend the moby wrap especially if you have a colicky baby like I do.

Great wrap to calm a fussy baby! Comfortable to wear and the light color is great for all that spit-up to blend in!
This wrap saved me time and time again when I had a fussy baby on my hands, and for several months was the only way I could get him to nap (aside from nursing to sleep, which wasn't always practical when out and about!)A few tips:1. Pre-wrap it before you leave the house. It makes it easier once you get to your destination and need to put baby in (without having to worry about tying it in a parking lot).2. Don't wash it too often (I found that after washing/drying it, the first time I wore it it would stretch out and baby would kind of sag down.)3. Get a light color so that the spit up blends in!4. If your newborn doesn't like the newborn hug hold (froggy leg style), wait a few weeks and then try again with his legs out. Our baby is very long and hated having his legs stuck in there.5. Try this anytime your baby is fussy! On the worst evenings (around 5-6 weeks old) I would wear the moby, bounce on an exercise ball, and turn on the kitchen fan all at once. Baby would calm down and/or fall asleep within minutes.

Hands Free Baby Soothing
The wrap seems excessively long and, initially I thought it was tedious, but the length is just right and my newborn daughter loves being close. It's an awesome way to soothe her and free up my arms, definitely worth 5 stars. There are a lot of 'how to' videos on how to wear the wrap, I watched a few before I felt confident enough to go for it but it's really pretty simple. The wrap is warm so I dress baby and myself lightly if I know I'm wearing it. My hubs prefers the more neutral looking bjorn but I find a wrap more cozy and secure for a newborn's wobbly head.I'll be giving this as a gift to my new mommy friends.

Super!

The color is different from the picture.the material is very thick and bulky which makes it very uncomfortable to wear also not stretchable.
