Quixx Paint scratch remover REALLY WORKS
OK so less than 3 months ago i bought a pearl white 2007 350z coupe it is my baby but unfortunately 2 weeks ago or so i was at the grocery shop and a run away cart hit the back of my car ( back bumper) and left about 10-12 scratches and a very very big and deep scratch , i was extremely angry because you def able to see it on my car and come on who wants to drive a nice car with huge scratches !!! NOT ME, so i took my car to at least 4 different paint shops to see how much it would be to just paint those scratches of, every single shop told me it would be 400+ dollars i was completely bummed out and said no way, i received a phone call from one of my best friends and he told me about this product and i was completely skeptical about it and from the get go i went in close minded about the product i purchased the product and it took about a week to arrive A LONG LONG WEEK for me all i could think of was the nasty scratches on the back of my beautiful car so when the product arrived i did everything it said to do on the directions and it did absolutely nothing i was pissed of because in my mind i knew that this had been a complete waste of money and time , but then i thought MMMMMM maybe i should use the entire product on my car which is what i did and do my surprise EVERY SINGLE SCRATCH CAME OFF! i dont understand how it works but BOOM like magic my car looked brand new of course i jumped in joy in my garage ( i am 22 years old ) and shouted and screamed like a woman ! every single scratch came off if you follow the directions and use the whole product IT WILL work before you go out and think that you need to spend hundreds of dollars on a new touch up paint job try this item IT WAS like magic def recommend it, since then i bought 3 more packages of this product and have them in my garage just in case a careless person does something to my car

It works but.......
I just came back from using this product. What I found out was, the trick is in the wet sandpaper. If you have deep scratches, I can assure you that this product won't work. In fact, even the instruction manual suggests you to buy their "scratch pen" to fill the deeper groove of the scratch. This Quixx works well in removing the "residue paint on your car." That's it. In other words, you can't remove scratches that are "permanent."This is what you get in the box: 1 repair tube, 1 finish tube, 2 rags, 4 narrow 3000 grit sandpaper and the instruction manual.Remember I said the trick is in the wet sandpaper? Well, I basically removed more than half of the "scratches" simply by using sandpaper. They were not scratches at all, but merely paint residue from the other vehicle and wall paint. My suggestion to everyone, especially if you want to remove large amount of scratches, is to buy these products: sandpaper (i.e. 3000 grit), scratch removal compound (they're cheap) and car wax. You would save a lot of money instead of using the Quixx scratch removal. Follow the below procedure.1. clean the scratch area with water or very mild all-purpose cleaner.2. wet the sandpaper and wet the scratch area.3. gently rub the wet sandpaper in a circular motion onto the scratches for NO MORE than 15 seconds (this should remove the residue from the other car paint.4. then, wipe the wet surface of scratch area with a soft towel or rag (be sure it's not abrasive towel).5. apply compound on the scratch and use another dry rag to scrub the scratch surface for 1 to 2 minutes.6. let it dry for one minute before applying one coat of wax. You're done. Add another coat of wax if desired. If you don't remove any scratches, then that just means the scratches are "beyond skin deep."Again, for the price of the Quixx scratch removal, you can add few dollars to buy a whole bottle of compound, 3000 grit sandpaper (which you might already have at home), car wax (which you also might have) and a soft towel.

This product did exactly what I needed!
I discovered a 2-foot long black mark on my front fender (caused by a stray shopping cart, no doubt) and I tried to remove it using soap and water and a sponge which didn't work. I then used a Scott's green scrubbie which did get the black mark out, but left some light scratches on the finish. These scratches weren't very deep, and only penetrated into the upper layer of the clear coat of the paint. However, they were really noticeable from a short distance as you walked up to my car (ugh!). So, after some research I decided to try the Quixx Paint Scratch Remover since I only need to repair the clear topcoat on my car.The Quixx kit is basically a method to sand out the scratches in the paint surface. You start out with 3000 grit sand paper (which will sand out deep scratches but leaves smaller ones), then use the #1 paste, then onto the #2 paste. So, you successively use less abrasive products to get the final scratch-free surface. In my case, I only needed to use the #1 and #2 paste since I was working with faint scratches in the clear topcoat paint. These are really mild abrasives, so even with the #1 paste I didn't see any major swirl marks or faint scratches after using it. You really need to push HARD to get the scratches off the topcoat since it can be a really hard finish. I rubbed the #1 paste for 2 minutes on the scratches and after two applications they did come out! It actually looked good and glossy with just using the #1 paste, but after I used the #2 paste since that was specified in the instructions. The final look was exactly what I wanted-- you can get up real close and you can't see the scratches at all. The glossiness of the finish matched the rest of the car too. Now, this is my experience using this product on some relatively mild scratches on the clear coat finish of a 1-year old car, so your situation may be different if you have an older car, deeper scratches, oxidation, etc. But, in all this product did exactly as advertised for a very small price!
