Big Al's Pine Tar Soap (1) 5oz Bar With Natural Ingredients and Essential Oils, Forest Scent

Suds up great smells good and I feel super clean after every wash.

Got a stinky preteen/teenage kid or itchy skin? This definitely helps the first and possibly the second. I purchased several different kinds of pine tar soap from Amazon and Etsy. I carefully compared them and made notes. This soap which one of the best. It has a great scent. Many pine tar soaps smell like a car tire. This one has a kicky fresh scent. It doesn't melt like many of the soaps do in the shower and leave a black residue. It lasts a reasonably long time. This is one of my top two and I will definitely purchase again. I would like to try in a body wash as well since a body wash generally leaves less residue in the shower.

Was a waste. Liked the smell. But ...

It's a good soap BUT, it's not pine scented, if that's what you're looking for. Not in the least. The eucalyptus (which isn't even listed as an ingredient in the Amazon listing - I had to go to Big Al's website for the ingredients list), tea tree and peppermint oil takes over. Mind you, it's very good stuff for you. Had they listed the ingredients, I would've never bought this. But it this is what your looking for, than great! But if you want pine scented, this isn't going to fulfill that request. I've listed the ingredients below directly from Big Al's website:---------------------Organic Sustainable Palm Oil, Organic Coconut Oil, Organic Sunflower Oil, Organic Olive Oil, Water, Sodium Hydroxide, Pine Tar, BAKING SODA, Colloidal Oatmeal, Essential Oils of (Peppermint, Pine, Orange, Tea Tree, Eucalyptus, Myrrh), Activated Charcoal, Comfrey Leaf Powder, Plantain Leaf Powder, Jewelweed Extract.

It's a great soap! Does not leave my shower black like it's leading competitor's Pine Tar! I will be re-ordering again next week!!

...but expensive. I use it for the holidays & special occasions

I've been using Big Al's soaps and this is one of my favorites. A lot of other brands I've tried dry my skin out too much and leave me itchy and my skin feeling tight. The scent isn't overbearing and doesn't seem to really attach itself, I deal with a lot of people daily and I know some can be sensitive to different scents so I try to stay neutral. I will definitely be checking out the rest of the line up.

I tried Dr. Squatch Pine Tar and it was excellent so I wanted to try a different brand to compare. The Big Al's brand wasn't even a Pine Tar. It was a strong Spearmint scent and nothing like Pine Tar. I will never purchase this again and recommend that anyone truly interested in Pine Tar purchase Dr. Squatch instead.
