Great unmanaged switch
This switch is the 16-port unmanaged switch, this works great for my needs for my home network. I get my full one gig going to every port just fine, and I have Cox internet. I have had it for three months and so far, no issues. Definitely recommend for home or small office. Easy to setup, basically just power it on. It has not made any noise at all but I have mine inside my home so those of you using this switch in an attic or somewhere warmer may notice fans running more than mine.

A Big and Heavy Switch
This has got to be the biggest and heaviest switch I've ever seen and immediately impressed me as a big step up from anything else I've ever used. The small plastic switches I've used for years in my Ethernet network look really puny by comparison. I decided on this massive switch because I was upgrading my home network after many years and wanted something that would future-proof me for at least a few years. I don't have a rack so locating the switch on the top of my Dell Precision Workstation seemed to be the best idea and so far has worked without a hitch. I decided on the 16 port switch because it seemed I was always running out of ports on my old network and I didn't want that problem again. It seems as if every piece of equipment one buys today wants its own access to the internet and although many will go Wi-Fi there are still many that want an Ethernet cable. I think, at least for a few months, that I will not have any problem providing that want. I'm using this switch in conjunction with the ASUS RT-AC68U Wireless-AC1900 Dual-Band Gigabit Router which has only four Ethernet ports. As it stands right now, one of those ports is connected to my Dell and one is connected to this switch. I believe it will take some time to fully realize the potential of this equipment, but the potential for fine-tuning and future improvements is there, I believe. If anything notable develops, I will update this review but so far absolutely no complaints.

Use a lot of TP-link products - not disappointed
Easy to set up - a bit bulky to mount on a wall - seems to be working well

TP-LINK TL-SG1016 10/100/1000Mbps 16-Port Gigabit
I don't "love it" but its worth a five star rating, LOL. We have had this new switch just over 3 weeks and all is good, it has not missed a beat. I replaced a 8-port TP-Link switch with this one only because we needed more ports. I know it was the full sized "rackmountable" switch when I purchased it but it would be nice if they offered a 16 port with a smaller footprint but it is what it is. I have room for it so the size is not really an huge issue. It runs nice and cool, there is no noise and we get nice speeds across the wire when we do our back-ups. Excellent performance and warranty at a great price. So if you have room for it this is a excellent value IMO.

Great switch.
I like the TP-Link line of switches. I bought this one to upgrade from an old 8 port D-Link, which worked fine but I needed room to expand to 15 devices. The TP-Link was (of course) east to connect. It's been running solidly for the last couple of months or so without issue. I also like the solid housing of this switch. I've used a lot of TP-Link's switches in the past, and have had no reason to switch.

It works.
I purchased this switch for a small home network with public access e.g. a couple of websites. I am subscribing to a few static public IP's for my servers, unfortunately it is limited to somewhere around 700kBs upload speeds. Wish they could balance it more to a 50/50 ratio. Perhaps in the future, although Phone lines have their limitations. On the other hand it seems to be sufficient for what I am doing, with about 18,000 hits per year. The switch is directly connected to the DSL modem and provides thereby 15 theoretical public IP numbers, which 8 of them are used. Throughout the past two weeks the switch is just doing what it is supposed to do, working great. My server have Gigabit NIC's , so at least on this part of the network there will be no bottlenecks. Although, in my configuration I might not be able to use the full potential of this switch, it is nice to know that I have some horsepower left. All over I am very satisfied with the price to performance ratio.

I am using this as the core switch in my home networking setup. I was looking to downsize and simplify my home network and life. Previously I was using a Ubiquiti Unifi 24 port managed POE switch. I honestly didn't have much need for the more advanced networking and ended up having a flat network in the end. I also moved away from my Unifi wifi setup to using Google wifi. In combination with this switch, I have not lost any speed and through put on my home network. However everything is now pretty much hands off plug and play which is nice.
