Child-Approved - but spindly legs prone to breakage.
I'm not a collector of these and don't know much about the characters, so can't comment on that. They were a request of my 10 year old niece - in particular she wanted the green one (yeah, I know, it has a name, but I don't remember it) - but at the time that I purchased this set it was priced low enough that it was only a few dollars more to get the set of four than to get just "the green one" on its own. I see that the price is higher these days.My niece was quite happy with the set, their clothes, and all their little accessories. She is especially fond of the hairstyle and glasses on "the blue one."The leg of "the blue one" broke at the knee joint after a few months of play. It looks like this would happen pretty easily - their legs are very spindly and the joints are made of very tiny parts - frankly I'm surprised it was only that one leg on one doll that has met with injury. Her grandfather did some doll surgery in his workshop and the leg is now fixed and fully functional, though cosmetic results were not 100% favorable...

Icoffins and Bald Spots
This Ghouls Night Out 4 pack is a Walmart exclusive. At my store, it was selling for $45 before tax. It seems like they are just starting to show up in stores, so I can't really say if you will have luck finding them or not. Overall, I really like this set (icoffins and purses for everyone!) but it certainly has its negatives.Out of the four ghouls, Rochelle is the only one you can buy separately. This Rochelle has her typical long, slightly wavy hair. This is the first Rochelle without the blunt bangs, however. I prefer her with bangs, but that's just me. Her two hairclips are fleur de lis and... she has some bald spots. Her hair isn't thin by any means, but for some reason she has no hair around her ears. I don't know if other Rochelle dolls have the same issue, but if they do, I never noticed before now. The style of her hair makes it pretty obvious if you look at her in profile. Her shoes are adorable and her dress is one-shoulder. She also has a scarf, two arm warmers, an icoffin with a light pink background, and a cute open purse. She isn't my favorite Rochelle, mainly because of the hair style and the "meh" outfit, but I wouldn't call her bad or anything.Clawdeen. Ohhhhh Clawdeen. Her hair is both incredibly thin AND she has visible bald spots. From all angles. No matter how I seem to flip her hair- bangs back, to the side, in a ponytail- I can still see gaps between her hair plugs/roots. She comes with a spikey headband, and I have to wonder if it's simply so the poor dear can hide her hair loss. It is especially noticeable around her face. It is a shame, as her hair is a lovely light brown color (with purple streaks.) I like her dress a lot, even if she may or may not have stolen it from Cleo. She also has arm warmers, braclets and earrings, an icoffin with a purple background and a purse that does not open.Ghoulia and Venus are my favorite two dolls in this set. Ghoulia has a ponytail like her Scaris doll, but with blunt bangs this time. She has her typical red lips with matching accessories, and the color looks great on her, of course. She has a glasses print on the skirt over her dress, which is a new fabric for her, and a nice change from the normal brains. Her shoes are an exact repeat of her Dot Dead Gorgeous ones- another Walmart exclusive- which bites. I really like this Ghoulia, even though it's her same old red, blue, black, and white color scheme. She also has an icoffin with a red background and a red purse that does open.Venus is, by far, my favorite doll in this set. She has her partial shaved head, which is intentional, unlike other ghouls I could name. She has a high ponytail and her hair looks "choppy" and layered. In one ear she has a long green vine earring, and three rose shaped studs in the other ear. Her pink and black dress is really fun. She has black leg warmers, which means no vines on her legs, though I prefer the latter. She does still have them on her arms though. This is the "dressiest" Venus released thus far, which is nice to see. Her icoffin has a yellow background and her rose shaped purse does not open. This set does not come with stands. I wish it did, especially as the ghouls skirts are so tight that it is hard to bend their legs or have them sit down. So they look fabulous standing up, but are limited in motion thanks to their form fitting clothes (Venus is the least flexible of the four.) There is also the hair problem. Otherwise, all four dolls are lovely and I do enjoy this set... at the normal $45 price.
