I have a six year old girl. Is this geared toward boys..

Not at all! I have two girls (6 and 2), and they both love them. They're just 3 dimensional building blocks -- so kids can build anything they imagine. My 2 year old mostly just plays with her sister's creations -- she can't really build yet. My 6 year old loves them; she just occasionally needs help clicking two pieces together.

Can a 3 year old build with these or will it be too difficult?

In my opinion most 3 year olds would have difficulty building with these. Most of the examples in the instructions are quite complex.

Any chance these are bpa free? Thanks in advance

Would this be too young for a 9 & 10 year old? They both still like legos but trying to find something new for xmas. Thanks

I bought them for my 6 & 7 year olds, but can't pry my 9 & 11 year olds away from them either. I'd say they would enjoy them. Get plenty!
