Ordered on 9/25, received notification of shipment 9/28, and it was on my doorstep on 9/8 - well in advance of projected ship date.Product works as described BY OTHER USERS - there is no manual, which is why it didn't get five stars. Would it really hurt the seller to stuff a photocopy of its operating instructions in the envelope? Heck, they could get them from one of the helpful buyers here who took the trouble to figure things out!My first unit (I'll probably get a couple more for various other projects) will operate in mode 02, using the COM and NC terminals of the relay, to turn off the canister filter pump of my aquarium at feeding time. Until now I would turn off the pump manually to prevent ingestion of food into the filter, but forget to turn it back on again. Using mode 02 and the NC side of the relay means I can simply leave its 12V "wall-wart" power supply unplugged to save power. Plugging it in will energize the relay, opening the NC terminal and switching off the pump, and trigger the count-down timer. At the end of the time period the relay will be de-energized, closing the NC contact and switching the pump back on. I can then either unplug the power supply whenever I remember, or trigger a new time period by pressing a trigger button.I am not sure the on-board relay will handle an inductive motor load without arcing; I'll put some kind of snubber circuit across the terminals just in case.

I have to knock a couple of stars off the review due to the seller not being able to provide instructions, even though the seller’s description mentions pdf instructions. In fact, the seller will not even respond to emails requesting instructions.Thank goodness for Chet’s review and his description of the operation. The timer can be quite handy and allows for long cycle times for T1 and/or T2. Almost 275 hours can be achieved by setting T1 or T2 for 9999 and the associated NX value to 99. The module draws only about 13 mA with the relay un-energized and 43 mA with the relay activated.My application is to help condition deep-cycle lead-acid marine batteries that sit in a standby application. The module connects an automobile headlamp to the battery for 1 minute every 24 hours to help reduce the sulfate buildup on the battery plates.

Works as described by other reviews except that to the best of my knowledge there is no way to set T1 or T2 to less than 1 sec, even though it states in the PDF instructions that those times can be set down to 0.1 sec. This poses a problem when trying to control a secondary digital device button from the T2 time, as 1 second of contact time raises my secondary device 7 steps instead of 1 and I need the accuracy of 1 step at a time. Also rather a pain that the instructions aren't included and you have to search the web to find the PDF instructions.

With the exception of not getting any instructions on the use of this. I works great. I am suing it as a delay shutdown for Computer in my truck. I've got it set to 30 mintues so the computer stays on when I turn the truck off for short periods.

These are great timers and it doesn't take long to figure it out. It says 12V but I've used them with 9V batteries.

Despite the fact that the advertiser states that operating instructions will be provided, he did not do this for me.

My testing find this item works as advertised. By Spring it will be used daily for Traffic Control Signaling. Review will be updated if any problems develop.Its extremely low power drain is ideal for Solar Battery Powered applications.
