I put contact cement in a air spray gun and spray it . You can also use a paint brush

Contact cement . Is the best it is used for countertops and is best to use for head liners

Depending on how much you buy it can be shipped both ways

Q: Would this be durable enough to make a handbag or wallet?

It's nice, but not thickly stuffed. Great for interior use. We used for door panels on 69 Chevelle. Will not last very long with constant friction.
