For courses in calculus-based physics. Guided practice helps students develop into expert problem solvers The new 15th Edition of University Physics with Modern Physics, now in SI Units, draws on insights from several users to help students see patterns and make connections between problem types. Students learn to recognise when to use similar steps in solving the same problem type and develop an understanding for problem solving approaches, rather than simply plugging values into an equation. This edition addresses students’ tendency to focus on the objects and situations posed in a problem, rather than recognising the underlying principle or the problem type. New Key Concept statements identify the main idea used in examples to help students recognise the underlying concepts and strategy. New Key Example Variation Problems within new Guided Practice sections group problems by type so students recognise when problems can be solved in similar ways, regardless of wording or numbers. Review: Best , only the word best. - If you are at zero level and dont know anything in physics and want to go deep in world of physics . If you want to master in physics . This book is for you . This is not for solving physics but this is for understandings concepts . There are lots of questions also given in this book but the best part is theory. You will love to enjoy . I recommend to students who are preparing for NEET and JEE because syllabus is exactly same , same arrangement same pattern of syllabus . But for solving question , you must see dc pandey etc Review: Excellent - Pages are so beautiful

difficult to use due to size.
The book content is excellent. It is suitable for learning on your own. Clear explanations, good solved exercises. Page quality is just acceptable, it is thin. Colors and printing is excellent. The book deserves 3 stars because it is too thick. It is difficult to handle. Dont know how long the paperback binding will last. It would have been perfect if it was available in 3 parts at a reasonable price. This edition is easier to study from than the black and white Indian print.

Perfect physics book in SI units and reasonably priced
I ordered this book from seller "Pool of Books". The book was shipped by DHL, arrived in perfect shape and faster than initially planned. Much has been written about this book before and there is not much to add. Considered to be one of the best books ever for university level physics (engineering schools etc.). Entirely in SI units (vital for European market). The book is printed in color which is vital with so many excellent pictures. Some time ago softcover versions of this book were printed in black and white, which was unacceptable. Please, consider that this is a softcover (paperback) edition which costs about 70 EUR (reasonable price for 1.600 pages packed with physics). The entire book is 'front to end' exactly the same as its hardcover version which costs 4 times more (a little less than 300 EUR). Having 1.600 pages, this book is 5 cm thick and rather heavy for carrying around. If you plan to carry it around frequently (in backpack etc.), you might consider buying the more expensive hardcover version. Softcover is fine for your desk, but it might be too soft for your backpack. Summary: Excellent physics book in SI units, same contents and quality as its much more expensive hardcover version, reasonably priced but too soft for extensive carrying around. Recommended as 5 stars.

One of the best introductory physics textbooks
Everything explained so well that you very rarely need additional sources to solve every problem at the end of the chapter

Good book to teach the concepts but without a solution for all exercises
Great book. Unfortunately, the answers to the problems at the end of the chapters are not in the book and are only available via a purchase that is restricted to teachers only. Which is unfortunate for anyone just wanting to refresh his/her physics knowledge. Apart from that it’s a great book with a wide range of topics.
