Over engineer! Difficult to use! Leak ! Leak likes Crazy
Bad design results of an over engineering which has many bad unnecessary rubber seal rings inside. These actually makes it hard to screw on or take off, and also where it is failed and leaking almost right on the day 1 or soon after a few uses. Cheapo chinese is simple, solid, and works way better.

Great way to make old hoses EPA compliant. Better than new hose ends.
New hoses have EPA compliant backflow prevention. However, they frequently fail and need expensive rebuild kits. This core depressor with back seating action holds pressure and does not allow gas to escape to the atmosphere when you disconnect. Although this will not necessarily fit every application, the 90 degree angle helps out more often than not. Good fit and finish and simple to operate. I have removed the core depressor from my hose to increase the seal pressure and reduce the likelihood of the hose fitting loosening up. I am going to try using this for a vacuum gauge attachment so that the gauge can be left in place during charging operation without damage or contamination of the micron digital sensor. I am hoping the back seating valve will hold vacuum too.

Exactly what was needed to avoid excess refrigerant loss
This lets you connect to the high side to the AC without losing a bunch of refrigerant. It also lets you contain the liquid in the hoses to feed back into the system. I wish I would have known about this the first time I connected/disconnected!.
