I have one regret my old remote stopped working on the dimmer switch before you spend 40.00 I suggest opening your old remote and using rubbing alcohol and Qtips to clean out corrosion. These remotes are prone to corrosion and seems to be a common complaint. So before you spend 40.00 try and clean up your old one. I did this after purchasing and now old remote works fine. But I chose to keep replacement because the I may one day need it and the seller did a good job of getting me the proper replacement promptly
