Great idea, but very glitchy
The idea of this gadget is a distance swimmer’s dream come true. I routinely swim 100 laps at a time and it can get pretty monotonous- so having my favorite inspiring songs playing while I swim is truly life-changing! But... in practice, this little gadget has some issues.1. It must be charged after every use, but you have to wait 4 hours a after using in water to start charging to allow it to fully dry. Also, if it’s not used for a few days, the battery goes dead in its own. Not a show-stopper, but annoying.2. Tracks/songs sometimes have glitches/little skips. I’ve had to erase and re-download the same playlist several times. Re-downloading sometimes takes care of the issue, and sometimes causes new issues. Another glitch I’ve experienced is that if only plays one song over and over, even though I try to select other songs. Had to completely reset the device to clear this issue.3. You must charge/download using ONLY the supplied cord. Not sure what happens if you lose or damage it.4. Touch screen does not work at all when wet, so you have to remember to completely set it up BEFORE getting in the water.5. It has a built in lap counter, but it doesn’t work while you’re playing music. What’s the point???That said, the sound is good and once you get used to it, it’s fairly easy to operate. I love that I can use Amazon music and Pandora. It’s definitely a new experience to swim to a beat!I sincerely hope this technology is improved!

Sporty unit: Exceeded my expectations
I was hesitant to purchase this given the price point, but I've previously bought products from Underwater Audio and the products/service/support has been excellent, so I decided it was worth a shot.I have been extremely pleased. The first few times I took it out it would drop a few laps, but once I got the feel for what it was looking for on the turns and found the right spot to place it on my goggles it mostly stopped* Last week I swam 144 lengths and it dropped exactly one, and it was because I made a lousy turn. There have been a couple of instances where it's been a little buggy, stopped counting or acted like it had stopped counting, (i.e. stopped giving me announcements), but overall it's been terrific. I'm not sure a few of the issues weren't somehow my fault. I also found the features on the tablet, specifically the custom way you can set up interval announcements, to be more robust than I expected. The phone application could use a little cleaning up but I expect that will come in later iterations. The battery life is good as long as you follow the recommendations to put it in airplane mode when you're not syncing it. The charging process is a little high maintenance if you use it a lot, (you have to wait 4 hours for it to dry then can't charge it for more than 3) but it's a computer that works underwater, so ....Overall, this is a terrific unit and if you're expectations are reasonable it should exceed them. And again, I highly recommend dealing with Underwater Audio as your vendor. Thanks!*One Tip: Despite being a southpaw I found this works better if you have it on the right side of your head. The reason is that two of the buttons are on the right side of the unit, (assuming you have it clipped on the correct way). When I had it on the left side I found my fingers would sometime clip the screen when I reached to make changes. If you have it on the right the buttons will be on the leading edge and make this less likely>

Meets Expectations
Bought this item to make a 45 minute daily swimming workout go better. I particularly wanted a device that could download Spotify directly and this works just fine. Created a swimming playlist and it's working great. This is a small screen but so far no touch problems. Sometimes a bit hard to read, but that too is acceptable. Enough battery for a 45 minute swim but it does seem to drain fast. They suggest using airplane mode and shutting off screen to save power - don't know how this would really work if you tried to go a couple hours. Part of this rating asked for sound quality - a bit tricky to answer. You're swimming and water gets in your ears anyway, so really how good can the sound quality be? It's good enough to make a swim go faster.

Doesnt work.
So far very disappointed. I don't reccomend this at all. Mine doesnt work. Wont even finish the setup.... freezes and gets hot to the touch. I have messaged the company and received no reply. This was a gift, obviously it flopped. By the time I realized it was defective I couldn't return it. It's not even heavy enough to be a paper weight.

Game changer for swimming laps!
This is a game changer for swimming laps! Now I can swim in the pool with my Spotify playlists, same as I do on the treadmill. The lap counter needs a bit of work and isn’t the most accurate, but everything else is pretty great. It holds a charge in airplane mode for approx. 3-4 hours, but will burn through battery when your online and pairing your music. It comes with lots of earplug options which ensures a comfy fit. Overall, I’m really happy with my purchase!

Too hard to set up doesn’t connect to my computer in a matter what I do
This is impossible to set up on a Mac computer. I did everything it said, and tried everything for two days straight so frustrated I’m sending it back

Monotony Gone
Great product. Touch screen can be a challenge at times. Makes the laps go by and breaks up the monotony.
