Tru-Spec Men's Military Boonie Hat

Just a rugged well-made hat, with a draw string when it gets windy. Often gets remarks, sometimes military, because it has a history. That's not my purpose, though I lived through that time. You will like it if it's your type.

Well, I ordered this to replace the 1st one we got. The other one was a big ole floppy looking thing. Like for an old man working in the yard. This one (the 2nd one)however is just exactly what we wanted. My father in law found one that was military issued in a thrift store years ago and loved it. He wore it to work in construction and fishing and everything where its hot it keeps the sun off his neck and stuff. The only issue was it was about a 1/4 inch too tight. So we found these. First one we ordered was a no go but this 2nd ones perfect. He loves it. I'd definitely recommend it. You won't be disappointed. This is not the floppy one. So if u order a floppy by mistake, send it back & get this one. Just make sure to measure ur head this particular one is 7 1/4 inches across not around.

I love these Tru-Spec 3229 Boonie Hats. Well Made. Well formed and structurally sound hat which exemplifies quality. They fit true to size listed, and they look as described in photos. Waiting for the Navy color version to become available again.

Boonie hat matched my OCP’s very well, the size came in at 7-1/4 which still left a bit of room for my head so if you have a big head it’ll give you a rough size of what they send you. I compared my hat to the ones sold at the exchange and you can’t tell the difference really it’s very similar. Great quality, didn’t feel cheaply made, adjusting strap works well, comfortable and much needed to protect from the hot sun or rain. Happy with my purchase.

Needed a good boonie hat for a while now and finally saw the deal on this guy. The multicam is what you expect, hat is nice and floppy brimmed (where firm brim hats will usually bang your neck at some point) and the coverage is perfect for summer days. We had a stretch of heat here in California they was brutal over the weekend. Wore this pretty much non stop for 2 straight days and stayed cool and sunburn free.Seeing more and more guys rocking one of these lately. If you are digging the look, this hat is a steal of a deal. Tru-Spec does it right.
