Nice basic watch
All I wanted was a very basic, durable, casual watch that suited my particular taste. I didn't even care if it had a date feature. (The date is on my phone, and why would anyone need to check the date more than once a day anyway?) The less to fiddle with the better as far as I'm concerned. This is, in fact, a nice looking basic watch. The face is moderately large so it's easy to read at a glance, but it's not thick or heavy and doesn't feel clunky. It does light up at night if desired and I do like that feature. The one I got is also very quiet. (I read a couple of reviewers who complained about loud ticking.) I can't comment on the watches' durability because I haven't owned it long enough, but thus far it's kept accurate time and I'm glad I got it.

Great affordable and functional watch
Absolutely love this watch especially for the price point of about $40. It looks classy yet rugged at the same time and is a perfect casual watch for everyday wear. I have a larger wrist and usually like bigger watches and the size is perfect - not too small but not huge or gaudy either. The band isn't the greatest quality (I got the olive fabric slip-through option and wound up swapping it with a band from another Timex I own) but it works just fine and it definitely could be worse especially for the price. Love the indiglo feature as seen in other Timex pieces which was a major selling point for me as well. I also enjoy the smaller 24 hr indicators on the inner face in case you need to read it in military time for whatever reason too. I only bought it recently so I can't testify to its durability just yet but I can already tell I won't be disappointed. It's the kind of watch where I don't plan on getting it scratched or damaged, but if that were to happen I wouldn't be too upset or worried about it because of the great price. Highly recommended as an affordable casual every day piece.

Great watch to meet basic needs
Great looking basic watch for the value. It is a Timex, so you can hear the ticking of the second hand. If you are not a fan of the ticking, recommend finding another watch. Great size on the wrist and functional for any activity or event.

Nice large face field watch
Light weight, easy to read, luminous hands in addition to backlit indiglo dial. Thin and comfortable to wear. Strap is durable web strap. Very sharp looking watch. Versatile, looks just as nice in dress clothes or on the trail. Good value as well.

Timepieces with support worthy of File 13
Timex will lose your watch if you need a repair, and will not give you sufficient support.Long story timeline:- Bought item- Watch stops working 10 months later- Replaced battery twice that month- Submit repair request a week later- Watch took 2 months to get there from their package label- No communications for 2 months (watch now out of in-warranty repair elgibility, even though I sent it well before the deadline)- I am informed that I have to consent to the repair and paying for the repair before it will be repaired.- When requested, no pricing structure, repair costs, or clear timeline w/ prices are provided.- Customer conditionally agrees to repair, assuming cost is less than new watch.- Invoice is never received, cost is never specified.- 4 months later, watch is sent back, at which time Customer has been out of a watch for 7 months, and customer support won't do a refund on a second watch purchase because I purchased through amazon.Fix yourself, Timex. I grew up loving your watches, now I can't stomach to wear it anymore after your treatment. It would've been better if you'd lost the watch and given me a sincere apology, and I couldn't even get that.

Great, cheap, not-so-cheap watch
I owned this watch while serving in the USMC 20 years ago. For nostalgic reasons, I bought the large lettering version of it (my eyes need it). It seems like the build quality and band is much cheaper than it was on my previous one. Either way, it's a comfortable watch to wear, especially if you're used to bulky smart watches and just want something simple.
