This product actually works
After buying two others that were ill fitting and/or not aligned, I found this one. It works as expected. No bit wobble when using in the drill press. Highly recommend.

Just what I needed to finish the project.
I needed this to finish a peppermill. The extension is good quality, solid and hefty. It runs true, no wobble. The shank is hex ground 3/8" diameter. the bit holder's inside dimension is 3/8" round with two allen screws (3mm wrench not included). Round or hex bits both will work in it, but hex shank bits would probable hold better and require less torque on the screws to hold tight. The OD of the bit holder is 3/4". The length from tip to tip is 5", so depending how deep into chuck it is placed it could be up to an 1 1/2" shorter.

Forstner bit extender
It was the correct size. I haven't used it yet, but I plan to use it to extend forstner bits so I can drill deeper.

Works perfectly after cleaning up some milling marks
I got this for making pepper mills on my wood lathe and it works great after a bit of work. When I first got it, my forstner bits wouldn't fit inside. It turns out the holes from the screws left little bits of metal sticking out the inside, stopping from anything from sliding all the way through. When sandpaper didn't work, I used a 3/8" drill bit meant for metal to clear out the inside with a bit of cutting oil. After that, it works as advertised!

Bit extension.
Drill bits stay tight in extension and does what I need when doing wood work on lathe.

The bit was wobbling inside the extender.
I gave up on the idea of using bit extenders. Not only this one but others as well-created wobbling of a bit.

Works well and is of good quality.
This seems to be of good quality and works well. It will hold either a round or hex 3/8"-shank bit and holds both snugly and perfectly in-line. Note, however, that for deep holes the smallest forester bit that can be used with this extender is 3/4" because of the outside diameter of the receiver end, which is 3/4".

This is a well made extender
I used this extender to make salt and pepper grinders. It met the needs perfectly and worked flawlessly. Highly recommended.
