Very disappointed
Does not work as described. Purchased 3 and only 1 worked at all. Not even that one would work on hardened or even mild steel. As a professional craftsman, I am Very disappointed. Right out of the package, it is a great looking tool, seems well made and feels sharp to the finger ( not while in a drill ) but that is when the happiness ended unfortunately. I rounded up a hand full of assorted bolts, tubing, pipes, etc... that would fit in the but and wanted to test it out. Started with a piece of basic hardware store all-thread ( mild steel, one of the main reason I wanted the bit ) and it would barely even smooth out the burs on the end... basically not at all. I figured I was using it wrong, it happens... well, I was not, following the instructions exactly. Tried it on a piece of aluminum round stock and it worked great... same on copper, plastic, and even a wooden dowl rod. Then I decide to try it on a regular #4 bold... nothing, kinda polished the end a bit. Tried it on a #8.8 and a #10 hardened bold with no luck at all... wouldn't even take the black off the #10 bolt. Sorry, I hate to write bad reviews but this tool did not do what it was claimed to do... not to mention, It is a VERY expensive bit. By the way, the bit did not seem to be harmed in any way from everything I tried... still felt sharp and clean to the touch. It is as if the cutting edges are not angled into the cut enough and can't get a bite into any surface that is harder than REALLY soft steel at best. I honestly wanted it to work because it would save us a ton of time at the sander cleaning up bolts, all-thread, and small bar stock , maybe they just need to refine it and try a version 2.0. ( Yes, we tried all three bits just to make sure it wasn't a single defective bit. Unfortunately, we had the exact same results. )

the 1st 2 times it worked like a charm
I run a mechanic shop and was a bit skeptical with the reviews on here. I have had it for a month now and needed to use it 3 times. the 1st 2 times it worked like a charm, exactly as described. It is a very good tool when you need it and when it works. The slower you spin this bit, the better it works. However, the 3rd time i used it, it had lost its edge and barely worked at all. I am going to try and replace it but do not know the warranty on it yet. I would recommend this tool for people to have in their tool box for a 1-2 time fixit while you are in a bad spot, but I wouldn't recommend to anyone that will be using it on a daily basis

Did not work as expected or specified
Did not work as specified. Would not cut through stainless steel. Contemplating on trying to return it

Works good while sharp
Used on correct speed setting and also always used lubricant. Did not last.Works good while sharp, sadly it does not stay sharp very long.Seller has poor warranty.

Total Junk
This thing is total garbage. This did not even begin to work on 1/2" mild all-thread.

I'm glad someone has finally manufactured it
This is something I have needed for decades. I'm glad someone has finally manufactured it.I've used it on some mild steel threaded rod. Works excellent. I haven't tried it on hardened or stainless yet. However I've read that it will get dull over it's lifetime (I will see how long that takes). Key to improving longevity is to use very slow RPM's. Disappointing is the fact it cannot be sharpened. In fact, if you try to sharpen it the manufacturers warrantee is voided. I would take a half or one star off for that.

Do NOT waste your money on this item
This item states it will cut harden steel but after two cuts the blade chipped and stopped working. It doesn't make threading a nut on to it easier, in fact, it makes it much more difficult.

Seemed like a useful tool/good idea...
Did nothing; dulled immediately on a low grade bolt. Nowhere near worth trying...
