these are really great to have in the kitchen.i use them everyday n they keep stuff from going stale as fast as it does when these arent used, nothing will keep food for ever so you have to eat stuff or toss it cause it is food n will go bad eventually lol. i got some from qvc an they had handles that sometimes get in the way when you want to use them on cereal n put it back in the box but these do not do that so i like them so much better for stuff that goes in a box. oh they work for chips too and are wonderful, i now people with little ones might need the handles that the qvc ones have but for us big kids these work just fine n dandy. will be back for more for the camper soon. oh and they fit in a drawer a lot easier without the handle too, but both these n qvc work really good I Do Recommend The Sealers especially These

These are fantastic! Finally, something other than those bulky clips. Everything I use them on seals wonderfully and I've yet to have the first thing go stale. They are simple and kind of fun to use! There is only one bag I could not get one to work with easily and that was a bag of coconut flakes. For some reason, that type of plastic just isn't very compatible and though I did finally get it to work, I opted for another type of closure after opening it again - it wasn't worth the extra time to make it work. I'm sure I'll try it again eventually and if it turns out I was doing something wrong, I'll post an update. They glide on and off wonderfully and seal completely on every other bag so far! And they take up so much less drawer space. I can store two or three times more of these than clips and in less than half the space and that is a huge plus!

Very disappointing. They definitely work, but are not as user friendly as they could be. Some chip bags are simply to thick to work well with, many frozen food bags were too flimsy. I got so frustrated with it not being a quick simple action every time that I have gone back to rubber bands & chip clips.Again, they DO WORK great on some bags but I have four kids and they have a tough time with them & I defintely get frustrated with certain bag types.

Sealer sticks are a lower-cost alternative to bag clips, but with some differences to be aware of. Most importantly, they don't work with all bags. The bag must be thin, and have very thin seams in order for the stick to slide on. And until you become accustomed to them they can be hard for the beginner to install. The sticks come in an assortment of lengths. You need to use a stick at least as long as the bag's width to get a complete seal -- important in damp weather. A big plus is that the sticks are compact, both in use and while awaiting a bag to seal. A dozen will easily fit in the space used by a couple of bag clips.

SO much better than bag clips!I purchased ones lie these at a road show event several years ago. Really a great design. Decided I needed more so checked Amazon. Got this package for half the price of the original road show kit...and it includes more units. One of the set I received had a sharp edge which cut bags on a regular basis, but once I figured out what was happening, I sanded down the rough edge and now all work perfectly. Not only would I get them again...I will!

I love these things! I first saw them at a Home and Garden show and have since tried out several brands. I love this brand as it has 6 of the 11.25" sticks, as well as 6 of the shorter 8.75" sealers. I use them on everything in my kitchen, especially bags inside the cereal boxes.

These bag sealers are the best. The contents do stay fresher than normal bag clips or closures. I ordered these because they are the larger sizes which is really what you need.

It does what it claims to do, but not especially well.If the bag is heavy enough, but not too heavy, and if you fold it cleanly and don't catch a seam (in the middle of most chip bags, for example) it creates a great seal no matter how much happens to be left in the bag. It also comes off very easily.BUT: If the bag is too thick (a rice bag, for example), or wrinkled at all, it is impossible to slide into place. If the bag is too thin (produce bag), the material bunches or tears. If you catch a seam you will rip the bag open (and you may not notice if it's under the fold). They take up more space than clips because you need far longer tubes to extend the full flattened width of the bag. The combination of restrictions makes them extremely narrowly applicable, and constantly frustrating, so you need to keep alternative clips anyway to fall back on when these fail. Sometimes you have to replace the whole bag too, which totally defeats the purpose of a resealing device.We've used them for several weeks, and like them less and less. Kids gave up quickly. I'm a fan of clever ideas. This, sadly, isn't one.Wanted to like it. Can't. At all.

I waited a little bit before ordering this product as I have tried other devices for bag sealing and all of them failed miserably.I wish I had bought this product sooner! They are high quality, sturdy and seal even the largest bags of chips (my husband buys the Costco size bags).They come in a heavy duty large resealable bag, which is perfect for storing them in.There are other versions very similar to this offered on Amazon for less money, but these are definitely worth the couple dollars extra. I am very satisfied with my purchase.

Actually I'd give this 3.5 stars. They aren't as good as the origanal "grip sticks" but they're close enough given the price. Didn't think I'd find a use for the largest and smallest sizes but the really long ones are good for sealing up a bag of birdseed and the really small ones work ok for spice and pasta bags.

I have used these before, I think they work great, the only "problem" I think is that it is sometimes a bit hard to put them on some bags, but after a bit it gets easier. I would recommend them to anybody, but just know sometimes it is a bit difficult to put them on (especially first time use).

I wish I had these things years ago. I give them as little gifts all the time.
