Good heavy duty adapter. However found that the hole did not align with the sleeve on my camper. Had to drill a new hole in the adapter to make it work. Adapter allows me to carry my hitch carrier stored up when I am not traveling loaded and to remove it and use my carrier when needed without much effort. This set up also has very little play on the whole assembly.

Appears well constructed and solved an uncommon configuration problem.

This is one time I regret not reading the reviews before purchase. The pin hole located on the vehicle side of the adapter does not leave enough room to line-up with the hole on my U-haul installed hitch. I don't believe there is a single hitch where it will line up. This is because drilling a hole too close to the edge might compromise the adapter as weak, even dangerous, in the wrong application. Many reviews report of customers modifying the piece by drilling a new hole, if you have a way of drilling hardened steel. However, in my case this still would not work because there simply is not enough room to drill a hole and still have enough length to pass the bumper cover of my '13 Dodge Caravan. I do not believe that this product was originally produced for this purpose or someone would have simply added two inches of steel to the vehicle side of product and drilled two holes for adjustments, like most of the other products similar to it.

The pin hole is in the wrong spot and does not line up with the receiver. I drilled a hole in the correct spot, and it works fine.
