Love this!
VERY COOL! Our son is a zombie nerd. We looked at many survival cases for Christmas and found that they either contained weaponry not fit for a pre teen or had what we needed but came in the dumbest case or bag ever. This was perfect. It clearly states what it is meant for and has all the survival basics. Awesome gift!

Great gift
Got this for my girlfriend for her birthday and she loves it! I think it's practical to have this in case of any emergency. Don't know why everyone has been rating it so low. I can only assume their brains have already been eaten by the undead.

Zombies Beware! I will survive
at least three days with this Survival Kit. through issues with the Postal System losing the first one, with humorous emails back and forth, the Kit arrived and it is everything they said it was. Only thing that is amiss is that the box is not waterproof, though that will change shortly. While I doubt that the Zombies will attack anytime soon, it is still nice to have the basics at hand as I live near a bunch of volcanoes (Remember Mount St. Helens?) and a very large river. As I said before, the company, Outlander Outdoor have some great people working there and I will be buying more stuff from them, like more of these Zombie Survival KitsUpdate: today I dumped everything out of the box and a spread it out then waterproofed it so it will be stable even in a downpour. I used Kiwi's Camp Dry Spray which I purchased through this site.

Now we can sleep...
I bought this for an injured relative who was confined to her home for a while because she fell down her stairs. She clearly needed help or she was going to be a victim when the Zombies come. This has most things she will need, though. I only gave it four stars because I was hoping it would include an AK-47. Alas, it did not. It does have light sticks, food, water, matches, a blanket, and even first aid supplies. These are especially important for my daughter-in-law, since she has demonstrated the ability to seriously injure herself even in the absence of Zombies. In addition, the box is good to keep stuff in. You better get two.

Ok, I'll make a review for this kit.Based on the items listed here, an the pictures of the product items. This is my opinion on the kit. Purely from Observing the items.Give it the 10 C's Test.Cutting Tool: Seat Belt Cutter. if you take the tool apart you have a piece of sharp metal, might be useable. Rating 0/5Note: You would have to destroy the hammer to make more use out of the metal. A more effective cutting tool would be needed.Cordage: Survival Bracelet. Depending on the size, might range from 8-12 foot of rope (guessing) the wrist size can depend on the amount of rope used. Your limited to a small amount. But this is Cordage. Rating 3/5 Note: A larger amount of rope.Coverage: This will most likely be stored in the car. So you have the car as coverage. But on the run the coverage it gives you is a Mylar blanket. easy to rip, an reflects some heat back. (better then nothing) Rating 1/5. Note: Replace the Mylar blanket with a Real Space blanket the reusable tarp like kind. But you will still need a moisture barrier to lay on. A tarp an the space blanket an a 55 gal contractor bag will help in a pinch. Add stakes an maybe bungee cords to help.Container: No notable containers for use of water. But lucky for you it comes with water. So hold on to it. Boiling water will be hard without a metallic container to boil in. But if you keep the plastic pouches you will have a way to store water, not easily. (but better the nothing.) Rating 1/5 Note: I give a 1 simply because you are given water, but really have no way of sterilizing new water. 4.227 fl oz per pouch really isn't that much for a person who is trying to run an escape from danger. Depending on how active you are, that water will go fast. Add a mesh kit, or at least a pop can for collecting water an attempting to boil the water.Combustible: Water Proof Matches + Alcohol wipes an paper ( tender ). Rating 3/5 Note: You have the basics for fire making, 40 matches is a lot to work with, but i would suggest alternative combustible devices. If you are carrying a bic lighter, sure the lighter might freeze up, but still will generate spark. With luck an time you can make use of other forms of combustibles. A battery can cause a fire used with a steel wool. Flint an Steel is a nice choice. Metal Match, Fire Steel other good choices. IF you carry a Zipo still can use it way past the fuel going out. There's a cotton ball in the zipo its self plus the spark an you already have tender an spark.Compass: No compass. Rating 0/5 Note: Place one in, or magnetize a needle before hand.Candling Device: glow sticks. Rating 1/5 Note: you're given a limited light source but once that goes out you have no light. Most people would go for the head Lamp. that's a good idea, but at some point the light goes out. I would personally go for a crank light. Yes you have to crank it alot, but its a light source that will out last battery over time.Cloth Needle: no needle. 0/5 Note: Why need one? Mostly repair work for clothes or make shift compass. An minor health use.Cloth: no cloth. Rating 0/5 Note: why need one? Filter water, an also used to make char cloth. Or can be used as a sling, or quick clot.Cargo Tape: no tape. 0/5 Note: why need this? for repair use, an can be used in combo with a cutting tool an rod to make a spear. Also tearing the tape in small strands you can cause to make fire. Use the tape to reinforce Mylar for strengthening.out of all rating 0 - 6, 1 - 2, 3 - 2. Overall Score is 2/5 Giving a 2, very little use out of the over all kit. the hammer may have use, the food an water will help keep you alive for a (short amount of time). The bracelet can have use an the Mylar blanket has very little use, but will serve useful when you have nothing else. Like all kits the individual needs will be different. You can add to this kit for sure. this is not the all you need kit, its a base start kit. The items can be upgraded. The Med Kit will help you on minor wounds. The whistle will help alarm others of your presence. But visual contact will be needed also. Use a signal mirror also. consider researching practical survival kits, an focus on what kind of needs you will need.Cover shelter,water,fire.ETC:food.whistle.Hammer, Medical Kit.Like other comments suggest its a Novelty Gift, so don't take it as a serious survival kit.
